Baseball second place .. again

Played a couple softball games tonight. I was playing in our city league here and we were in the tournament. It was double elimination. We lost early, then moved up through the losers' bracket to face the top seed for one more game, or two if we won.

They hadn't lost a game all year and we beat them. Since it was double elimination we had to beat them again to be champions. It was 7 to 0 in the fifth, but then the wind, our ally, stopped blowing. They blasted a couple homers and before we knew it we lost.

Stilll it was great fun to beat them once. I got to take out the second baseman on a slide, that was fun too I ended up batting 22 for 37 for the season, a lot lower than the last two years. I've got some work to do.

Anyway, I said second ... again cause the same thing happened last year in volleyball. We won the losers' bracket then beat the 1 seed but couldn't do it twice. nuts

Sports are so much more fun to play than to watch..
