Square Enix Sephiroth

    Well, guys. Just want to clear something. As i bet everyone have heard, there are people who claim that there is possible to get Sephiroth or Zack in FFVII. I have met SO many people who say that they have him, and many who says "Nope, no can do".
    Once i heard that you should bring the Desert Rose after defeating Ruby Weapon to Zacks parents and you'll get him. Ofcourse i tried but...didn't have any luck. Well, I just wondered...Is it possible in the NTSC version? Izzy come help!

    Yeah, I looked into this too. Keep in mind when I say this that I haven't tried any of the recommended techniques (I have no earthly idea how to beat Ruby Weapon and, frankly, Emerald scares me). But from what I understand, all reports of having Sephiroth or Zack join your party are greatly exaggerated.

    DL could probably answer this question far better than I could, though.

    I can't help either. There is in no way shape or form any concept at all to do what you ask in the NTSC version. I doubt there is in the PAL version. I've heard much the same rumors as you, except in the Aeris variety. Some way to bring her back and such. I know there's a bit of a different sort in the Japanese release for the ending, but I am at a loss to what it was...it's been so long.

    Ruby is harder than Emerald, actually. The thing that makes it UBER hard is that people try to do it with one character. One good way to get out of that, is to get everyone with Ribbon. If that's not possible (which I forget if it is or not) then have it on as many people as you. Kill them off, and wait for Ruby to put his tentacles in the ground, then wake up the party with Phoenix. Then cheat like hell. Knight of the Round -> 2x and Mime for all three. :D

    Same thing with Emerald, except you have to Morph a Sunken Ship (you fight those on the way to the underwater reactor) to get something...then you go and get Underwater Materia which stops that 20 minute time limit. I HAD beaten Emerald WITHOUT underwater materia, but I ran out of time before he completey disappeared...and thus won the battle, but lost the war. Just do the same thing with him, KoR -> 2x and MIME. Heal as needed. If you're fast enough, he shouldn't cause too much trouble...but DO try and get rid of those gems. They kill you AND your MP.

    I haven't played VII in such a long time...I should pick it up again, actually.

    That I can Blue Otome, I can't quite remember which items you get from which weapons, but here's what you can get off the old dude in Kalm: 1) A Lovely gold Chocobo(I think you get this from Ruby), 2) All the Master Materias(sooooo good, I think this is from emerald), 3) Underwater Materia(you get this from morphing those skeleton boat things in the underwater reactor, and giving what you get to the old bloke{the materia takes away the time limit for the fight against Emerald weapon}).
    The only way it's possible to get Sephiroth is if you have a game shark cheaty thang, there's no way to get him in the game apart from the brief time you have him in your party in the past.
    As far as I know it's not possible to get Zack at all, even with a game shark, but I know there is no proper way to get him in the game.
    Suffise to say, any rumours that state otherwise are mere lies. Sorry to disapoint.
    While I'm at it, I might as well dispel the bringing back Aeris myth. Again, impossible without a game shark(in all versions, including the japanese version), although there is a glitch(or maybe an easter egg) that when you go into the Church in the sector 7 slums, you see a "ghost" of Aeris which immediately disapears. You can actualy see this while Aeris is still alive too. No way to bring her back though.
    I actualy did beat Emerald without the underwater materia. Lucky 7s helped.
