    Slayers
Meet Lina Inverse, your not-so-typical, magic-wielding bandit killer. Cute as a button, and armed to the teeth with magical spells that make tactical nuclear weapons seem like firecrackers. This fiery redhead fights for good, or so she claims - usually she's after power, glory, or gold.

Slayers is a humorous fantasy tale with plenty of action and story to serve up. The settings and gags are particularly enjoyable for medieval fans of the like of Tolkien or Dungeons and Dragons.

Slayers is split into two different times in Lina's life.

The main series details her meeting and journey alongside dumb-as-a-doorknob Gourry Gabriev, expanding to include a chimera seeking to become human again (Zelgadis Graywords), and a justice-obsessed magic-user (Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun).

The other series involves Lina's journey with the overbearing Naga, "the white serpent". In these stories, a younger Lina is burdened with this older self-proclaimed rival who follows her around like goldfish poop.

    Lost Universe
Also to the Slayers namesake is this sci-fi action/comedy. Kain Blueriver is a "Trouble Contractor", a hired man to do jobs too difficult or impossible for the general law. Armed with a mysteriously powerful ship (and its computer personality, Canal Vorfeed) and his lightsaberesque "psi-blade", he takes on various jobs for a living, and ends up adding an unexpected crew member to his ship - Millenium Feria Nocturne, who strives to be "the best in the universe" at everything.

Lost Universe is weaker overall than the Slayers storyline, but it does have some funny gags and delivers a climactic storyline in the latter half. It may take a number of episodes of viewing before it grows on you, but it is a classic after all is said and done.

  2. Slayers Timeline

I'd like to point out that Slayers Premium can't possibly be placed after the Slayers Try series, since Gourry gave the Gourn Nova back to Syrius at the end of the series itself while he still owns the sword in the movie.

The movie should be placed after Slayers Next, IMO.

this is jst kinda news but Premeium is coming out soon plus all movies and OVAs have been released except Premeium (which comes out on May 11) as for Manga you don't have Slayers Return Graphic Novel, liscenced and released and City of Lost Souls liscenced and will be coming out in Jun or Jul from CPM. You probobly already know this but just wanted to make sure.

O and I question is there a Lost Universe Movie because ADV has a soundtrack for it released.
