Saber Marionette Shirataki anyone?

    This may seem a triffling point, but to the best of everyone's knowledge, is there any significance in Hanagata's obsession with shirataki? He goes on about it in one episode, and in Ep. 25, one of the children he's teaching calls him a "shirataki freak". Something I'm missing or was that the best insult they could come up with?

    Ummmmm....'cause he's a noodle-head?

    I really never could find any significance in this... However, it does resurface in J to X when an old man named Shirataki visits Japones...

    I think it was just to point out if no one picked up on it yet that Hanagata is a freak.

    ...... ROTFLMAO @ That Guy!'s last post.

    Now the real question is.... will Hanagata eat them?

    ~*~*~*~(cut to scene inside Hanagata's kitchen. Cherry and Yumeji are standing around a bowl of noodles)~*~*~*~

    Cherry: ... really these instant yammy noodles really are an insult to my cooking!

    Yumeji: I think they taste super yummy!

    Cherry: They do not!

    Yumeji: Do so!

    Cherry: Do not!

    (this continues for a few moments)

    Yumeji: Hey! I know! Let's feed 'em to Oniisama. He doesn't like anything.

    Cherry: Except my pickles!

    *a long silence follows. Finally Yumeji slaps Cherry. They proceed to cook the instant noodles and slide them in front of Hanagata who is wearing a bib and sitting among plates of rejected food*

    Yumeji: Let's see if he eats them.

    *Hanagata hesitantly eats a noodle then begins shoveling them into his mouth*

    Yumeji: Hey! He likes it! Hanagata likes it!

    *Cherry explodes*

    (the end)

    ~ Lady Aoi: Remind you of an old comercial?

    Mikey likes it! -oops, I mean Hanagata!-

    I believe in my version of the subs, the kids call him a "noodle-head", not a "shirataki freak", so maybe that's just a little kid's version of an insult...

    Still, his obsession with noodles is lost on me...
