Recreation Should I be online tomorrow???

    ok my dad is freaking at me not to go online b/c he says tomorrow is National Hackers Day (WTF IS THAT!!!???) He saw it on CNN it was like "dont go online you will be hacked and get a virrus" and he is like we will get a virus dont go online and ****.

    I was wondering is this just some stupid lie and should I be online tomorrow????:dizzy2:

    Oh wait it said it was not tomorrow but Sunday and I am very serious I saw the first reply and it was kinda mean thanks for deleting them Zanza but was Bunsie not being serious why did you delete hers?

    Oh well I am probably not going to be online on SUNDAY (sorry) and I am very much hoping this thing is just CNN bull****.

    Oh me oh my! I heard the exact same thing. There's an organization of hackers that wants to clear web traffic or something, so they are supposedlly going to hack into hundreds of websites tomorrow! (I didn't hear anything about actual computers getting hacked, though.) But I'm going to have to put a security measure on my puppy mill site tomorrow, just in case...

    If you're not Dumb, you won't get hacked. It's pretty simple to close the standard security holes in most operating systems..

    it's not hacking.. it's defacing :)

    and they're only going after web hosts anyway, if you're not running a httpd of some sort you're grand :)

    Man, it's a result of pure propaganda that regular people would even be remotely fearful of hackers.
    Hackers got bigger fish to fry than indiviual users.
    More power to the hackers man.

    If something happens to tripod or hostultra all my sites are backed up on me system anyways... ^-^

    Well it just seems like a bunch of kids causing trouble, getting up to no good. It doesn't seem to be about serious hacking or anything. I wouldn't hold that against them.
