Well, I really like this poem. Except for the fact that when you do say it, it kinda reminds u of Captain Kirk......*coughsnicker* uh. Here, I'd like some criticism.

    Eye of the Beholder

    It is dark
Does the sunlight filter through the trees?
Do the clouds pass lazily by?

    Sounds travel around
    I
    Can hear

    Being guided
    I
    Am guided
    By my senses

    Warmth touches my skin
    Beauty is all around me
    I
    Do not need to see
    To know
    To know
    Life is precious
    This
    I
    Know.

I'm guessing the speaker (not the author of course) is supposed to be blind, right (like it isn't supposed to be obvious :) )? Like the little separations of the "I's" in each sentence. Nicely done, very nice.

Aye, aren't you smart? you've gained some points in my book.
I gave another poem to my english teacher before ( not this one) and he handed it back and said "It's good Kelly.....I just don't understand it."

    damn english teacher. damn you.

    I
    like it.
But the kirkness... I did laugh.
Intelligent poetry, worded efficiently, exploring places unseen by others. Nice...

Wait I got a request! Can someone do Green Eggs and Ham as if Captain Kirk was the speaker?
