    SILPH STARR PART 1

The world has run totally out of control. From attacks from the Osmanites and lack of food and water, situations were desperate. They suggested people should give up their lives if they did not want to live. That small decrease could mean survival of the planet. Between all this, the Osmanites attacked every so often, intentions unknown. They sent many spies from Corr, but they never came back due to an intense atmosphere the Osmanites built around their base.
Silph Starr was a recruit from Benevola, a military/educational school. He was one of those spies. He was clever, and he flung a rock into the base (The atmosphere was invisible) and he watched in amazement as the rock blew up from nowhere. He took pictures of this to prove that he wasn’t afraid. Had he cheated death, he thought. Is death going to seek revenge and kill him in an unmentionable way? He was hoping not.
The tide of destiny was undoubtedly true. His life was about to take a fatal turn.

It was 7 AM and the morning mist was slowly disappearing. He and his fellow students were indulging some military training at camp Ploa. Without much food, they were feeling sick, but they strived tenaciously anyway. Not long after they had finished their training had the Osmanites attacked. This was no ordinary attack. They were coming out in full force. Maybe they were trying to end this with one swift movement.
Silph, Ol and Jennifer prepared for the attack. They had a small fragment of a loaf of almost stale bread for energy and set off. 40 ships were steadily heading for Urangia. They were targeted in a small shuttle for the first one, which they thought was the main one. Many shuttles were headed towards others, and Silph’s one was last to leave. They called off the mission as they saw all the shuttles disintegrate in the atmosphere, which the Osmanites could move now. Silph and the others hurriedly escaped from the shuttle and managed to flee from the camp. Florence managed to survive with fatal injuries. Koping had to help Florence to escape. Thousands of soldiers were killed while the ships landed. “They have injected our world with their vile poison.” Koping thought. They shrieked as they saw millions of Osmanites falling out of the ship like drunken savages. That’s what they were anyway. They had no self-control; Osmiron controlled them all. Osmiron could not admit this, but he could not control everyone and he was greatly struggling. From the millions became thousands, and from the thousands became hundreds. The Osmanite soldiers were dying in front of everyone’s eyes. This was proof that Osmiron could not handle them all. Eventually all of them had perished, and the whole world was relieved. After dispersing of the atmosphere, they looted the ships to find all the luxorious food the Osmanites had. This was enough for the entire planet. But, obviously, Silph found it very bizarre, so he had none.

After a while, everyone started dying because of the plague the food had brought. All except Silph and his team. He was not like the rest of Corr. He was always mysterious and always suspected unusual happenings. He cracked after his sister died in a car crash after he emphatically told her that she should not go because he had a strong feeling. She turned it down in his face and left. She never came back, and after 3 weeks they found her… under a highway covered in dry blood. His sister was his only family. He was transferred to an orphanage and then finally adopted by two unloving people. They hated him and gave him no respect. His sister was 21 so she could take care of him. He was angry with her, but angrier with himself. He should’ve stopped her by all means if he knew. But he didn’t know. He was too young then. His parents met the same fate, but Silph couldn’t even speak then. No one still believes him. The only people who have gained his trust are Jennifer and Ol. Koping doesn’t trust him and Florence refuses to listen to him.
Silph almost died under this stress, but he managed and survived. He now hates everyone who doesn’t like him or people who like him, as he doesn’t trust them, but he will always fight for what’s right.
The whole world was dying in front of Silph as he watched in despair. His warnings did not comply. As hard as he tried, no one bothered to listen to him except for his two friends. They were lone stars in a galaxy of mistrust and deceit. But they would fight till the end. The world’s population decreased from 78 billion to 24 billion. This decline marked the end of Corr. The Osmanites attacked the very next day.
This was when Silph saw nothing. He saw himself dying from the Osmanites and then… nothing. He made up his mind.
He was not going to die yet. He still had his destiny to fulfil. He discovered Corr was preparing an emergency shuttle that could pierce through atmospheres and Koping would be on it. He asked if they could escape with them and he refused. “You are too worthless!” he screamed in this confusion. Silph lost all self-respect and punched him in the face. He was out cold. The soldiers that accompanied the shuttle shot Silph in the stomach. He passed out pretty soon. Jennifer and Ol tried to revive him, but they could not. They knew about his premonition, and tried to get him on board the shuttle. Finally they persuaded this guard. They quickly hid in the boxes, but the soldier betrayed them. The boxes were filled with litter, which they threw out. They landed on the cold hard ground. They knew that if they survived, they could not trust their home anymore. With Ol carrying Silph, they ran to the USIC, the United Space Institution Capital.
Jennifer then slapped Silph, which quickly woke him up. They needed him to hack into the system. “Sorry, Silph,” Jenny said, “but we need you to live.” Silph agreed, and he set to work. There was a blazing wire around the main control system. Silph thought he could use this to his advantage. He had his sword with him, so he slashed the wire and sparks flew out. This disabled the flight commander and the runaway shuttle lost its power. Then he directed the cables toward the main switch that unlocked all the electronically sealed doors. One opened up and another shuttle was ready to take off, but it could not pierce the Osmanite’s thick atmosphere.
He then sliced the control box and drained the acid in it. He poured it into a solution of gunpowder from Jenny’s sniper. It bubbled and fizzed, but did not explode. If his intentions were correct, it would explode in 5 minutes. They quickly hooked it to the nose of the shuttle and hurriedly turned the power on. The ship began all shaky, but it became steady and blasted into the sky. Silph got to work spraying the whole shuttle with bulletproof spray, which was a new invention there.
He climbed to the outer parts of the shuttle while it was in flight. He managed to spray it but then he slipped and fell. Luckily he tied himself up to a rope from inside the shuttle. The Osmanite’s atmosphere was visible and he tried to climb back in the shuttle. He couldn’t before the time was over. The gunpowder and acid solution fired and penetrated through the thick, orange, poisonous atmosphere. It had greatly injured Silph and they were then free of Corr. Jen and Ol quickly helped Silph up before they left Corr’s original atmosphere. They fled in the nick of time. They looked back as they saw Corr being destroyed by the Osmanites. Silph didn’t care anymore but Ol and Jen were devastated. Silph said, “Hmmm… we are going to die… anyway…” “Why?” Jen asked. “Because… I can still see nothing… I am still going to die… please, Ol and Jen… please fight until the end… please…” Silph slowly started slipping. “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!” Jen and Ol screamed. It was too late. Silph was gone forever.
