Art site help >_<x

Well, this is also a design forum, and I need help with some design stuff @_@x And Sera told me it was okay to do this..

I've been getting people telling me on the tag-board on my site saying stuff like "this site sucks" and insulting it.. Though, I was wondering if you people could give me some suggestions on what I could do to make it better. One person said that the characters section was out of whack and a bit blurry. Should I just create a whole new layout?

It's pretty okay to me. Of course you can make it flashier, make a flask intro, java script, you know. But I like you site's layout. I've seen a lot of other siteswhich are a lot worse.

The people who commented on your tag-board, I think they put you down for fun. If they didn't tell you why the site sucks, forget them. Especially that "cool dude" of whatever he was. Tell him to get a life and begone. You can't please everyone you know.

 

Just ignore them. That's rude, go to a site and tag the board saying it sucks. And its not true to boot. They Obviuosly haven't made a site for themsevles. All I would do is make the font a bit larger. And clean Yahiko's picture. Other wise its pretty good.

 

I think it's pretty cool. Just egonre the people who dissed it. And Osaka was probably right. They probably never have made a site, there for, probably dont know how difficult it is to make a layout look cool and keep it original. I think your site is cool.

 

Your site was great. no dead links and a simple layout. One thing that bothered me was a popup i got, but thats nothing.. your site is good, don't listen to that $h*t they say.

 

Gotto love it, the design is nice, simple, and got lots of information on my favorite series.
Also good that you didn't take the series Kenshin on the right of the page, that would make it TOO much of a fansite people just made because Kenshin is being aired on CN.


Keep it running like this, and *****slap those bastards who can't make their own site..

 

Thanks everyone for the compliments and the advice Huang, I'll try to fiddle around in Flash and see if I can make a cool intro that isn't too hard to load up. And Osaka, I'll work on making the text a bit bigger.. I think that I should throw together a version with frames so I can fit more using a larger font.

Sera, I wish I could just block those people but the version of tag-board I'm using won't let me block people or even see their IP's.. I can always delete their messages, I guess. And the reason for text overlappign each other is because your browser I think has a larger font setting.. but if I make a frames version I can avoid it from doing that.
