Music Ska Music!

Do we have any ska fans in the house? And if so, what groups do you like? What groups don't you like? Any particular reason?

I like The Specials, The Aquabats, Catch 22. Reel Big Fish.

Ah! How could i forget Sublime? Im such an idiot...Sublime is just so wierd and great The Date Rape song always makes me laugh...

Unfortunately, though, Sum41 is punk, not ska...although they are preatty good Their videos seem to be less than spectacular though, tbh.

One of these days, I'll get around to typing up the history of ska...

 

Sublime's best album is 40oz To Freedom. It has no bad songs in my opinion. My favorites on that album are "badfish" "40oz to freedom" "date rape" and the bad religion cover "we're only gonna die from our arrgance"

i dont really care for ska music that much, i like that ska cover song of gin and juice tho, its pretty funny. i dont kno 2 many bands tho, cept 4 sublime and reel big fish

 

I'm starting to get hooked on ska music... it has kind of a jazz/swing feel to it and it's a lot less dark than a lot of rock out these days, so it's a good break. Reel Big Fish is great, out of their songs I've heard so far I like Sell Out, Somebody Hates Me, and Take On Me.

Would Good Charlotte be considered ska? I'm not sure about some of their other songs, but Lifestyles seems to be ska-ish

 

I love Ska!Reel Big Fish are friggin' awesome!I also like old school No Doubt(NOT new school),Sublime,and Save Ferris.
