    Um how are they since TP is releasing them in two volume has anyone read them. Um mainly BMS since he knows most of this stuff but if anyone else knows please don't feel insulted but he is quite cultured in the art of Slayers.

    This is great news! I'll probably end up buying all 15(!) volumes, as these books are where it all began. Obviously, much of the content falls in line with the anime/manga series as they were based on the book, but there is so much more detail that comes out in pure written form.

    I read a good portion of the first volume that was translated on inverse.org - in support of Tokypop's licensing that text is now removed. What I did read was good, though.
