    Though I've seen this before, this is definitely a good thread for the Humour Forum!

    It's hilariously exaggerated. It only encouraged me to be one of the ones that succeeds :p.

    It kinda sucks the fun outta learning japanese :p. It's still funny as hell though. Evedently this guy has been to a fair few japanese classes to understand the different people that go to these classes and why.

    I should hope this guy's been to a fair number of Japanese classes, he states at the end that he himself is a Japanese major. :p

    ^_^ My friend sent that to me a good six months ago directly after she'd signed up for Japanese courses (it scared the crap outta her). I desperately want one of those "School Jane Went To Monkey Apple Carbureator" shirts.

    that was interesting... but yeah, it's kinda funny. but i don't think that learning japanese is that hard...

    Wasn't this on another thread somewhere? I've seen it, and its funny, but its more like a realistic slap in the face. And I find it very discouraging...

    lol I skipped a few things when it got to be depressively insulting but I found a few lines to be very funny such as :

    "People got so sick and tired of eating rice, in fact, that they ate just about anything else they could find, from seaweed to other Japanese people."

    I thought it was funny, especially since I am taking Japanese.

    For those of you that got intimidated, don't be. Japanese isn't that hard, and after the first three months of class I knew all of the katakana and hiragana. The grammar is actually quite simple and thankfully has no verb conjugations which was a pleasant surprise after three years of French. So, I recommend that you take Japanese, like the author said at the end of the essay.

    hahaha thats hilarious expecially when I am kinda learning the language(i wouldnt really concider it learning) my friend taught me a few words and all the numbers I could write each of teh words I know out from memery and the numbers as well :)
