I was born in the US but raised in mexico. For those who dont know, mexico is what i like to call a "soccer country". Basically, soccer takes a big part of life there. Its everywhere in tv and outside. Thats all i do over there.

I would like to get your thoughts on soccer (football, futbol, futebol or whatever you may call it) Like your favorite team, league and players. There has to be some soccer fans here!

Favorite Team: Diablos Rojos de Toluca (Mex.)
    Favorite League: English Premier League
Favorite Players: Francesco Totti, Jose Saturino Cardozo, and Ryan Giggs

Ah, I'm pretty good at soccer actually. Though, I don't really bother with it anymore. And i don't really know any teams at all, in fact, I thought the teams were just called by the countries name :sweat2:

If you dont have a fave national team than you can name your fave international team.

I enjoy the sport immensly. I live in UK, football-crazy here if you don't already know. I don't support any clubs or national sides but I enjoy watching Juventus and Chelsea (or Chelski as they call it here after Abramovich bought the club). As for the players. Zinedine Zidane, Rafael Van der Vaart and Alessandro Del Perio are great to watch. I usually watch whatever football there is to offer on TV and I don't mind sitting around on a sofa for 90 minutes. (not to mention Euro cup is coming this summer, excellent...)

As for the sport itself I play it on a regular basis with my mates during breaks and such. It's often satisfying scoring a freekick from a odd 15-20 yards out. (A rare ocassion in my case)

Anyway. I can talk quite a bit on football as a topic so I'll stop here... for now.

I watch the World Cup whenever that's on, but that's about it. Of course, that's about as much as I watch any sport.
I'm one of the few Canadians I know who calls it football. This is confusing for my friends because I call the other thing football as well.

Yes I too posted here before, but where is it? I guess I have to post it again.

Everybody forgot about Oliver Kahn(Bayern Munich/Germany) Who led his national and international team into cup victories? HE DID!

About Gianluigi Buffon, I think hes an awesome goalkeeper. I have this pic of him that inspires me to move on. I would love to show y'all this marvelous pic.

Swedes eat, breathe, and drink "soccer". Oh how we love soccer...Oh how we go nuts during Champions League, Premier League, Serie A, La Primavera, Bundesliga, or even our own league: Allsvenskan!

Favorite team, has to be, the one and only, black and blue, F.C Internazionale! Also known as Inter or Inter Milan. Been an "Interista" since 1997. They are a good team in Serie A, that sadly, haven't won the Championship for over 15 years. There standards are among the top teams like AC (BB) Milan, Juventus FC, AC Roma, AC Parma & SS Lazio. Shen knows I have a big heart for them...oh how I remember the 5th of may 2001. The day all Interistas hearts were broken.

Now in Allsvenskan: Malmo FF. Martin Dahlin, Daniel & Patrik Andersson, Stefan Schwarz, Zlatan Ibrahimovic were all emegered from that team. And now, it has great players, and now known as the Swedish " Real Madrid " in Sweden.

Players to watch? Van Der Vaart, Vieri, Del Piero, Ronaldo, Ronaldhino, J.Zanetti, Stankovic, Zlatan, Van Nistelrooy, Adriano, Chevaton, Henry...and the list could go on, and on...on.

Favorite Player has to be Christian " Bobo " Vieri. What a player...Last season had a goalstatic of 1.45 goals/game. Now that's 36 matches per season in Serie A...Check attached pic :)

[Edit: I really dislike ChelSKI. They are a team that buys fame and fortune. Don't say Real Madrid does that too, cause they have talented players that were produced by themselves such as Raul, Pavon, Iker Casilias and they hardly buy 15+ players every season. ]

I'll reiterate what I said in my apparently deleted post. That commenting on the best keepers. I say Iker Casillas and 'Gigi' Buffon.

The reason I like 'Chelski' is quite simply because of the names they have to offer. Not the club itself. I have no interest on who they buy next... but they have bought Arjen Robben already, he's coming at the end of the season. So that probably means Hasselbaink is going to be dumped.

About Inter. I have their shirt too :p (first ever football shirt). Don't support the club, just like their squad home shirt. Shame about their current form in Serie A.

Sorry for the editting.. It appears that MangatoAnime's Database was rolled back due to server change. Therefore, a few posts were unfortunately deleted. Please bear with us. - Arcueid

Feeynoord is a dutch team with players like Shinji Ono, Van Persie, and they had the goalscoring man Van Hooijonk.

SV Meppen are heroes of mine. They were in the 2. Bundesliga for a while and threatened to make it into the first. Their mayor was freaking out because there was no way they could afford to build the necessary bigger stadium (or so I've heard)

All this from a tiny tiny town.. I've been there, and it's not really anything special but they almost had the priveledge of having their rears whipped by Bayern München lol.
