    if you've ever gone to the toilet at 12:00 i'll bet you'd get a surprise if you found this waiting for you....especially on the top floor of a 2 storey house. it's a sobering thought how he got there....
    after much debate, we decided not to chase him with a ice-cream container, and see if he was gone by morning. we probably should have closed the lid, 'cause 5 min later he was drying his feet.
    After that i got the trusty ice-cream bucket, and tried to roll him in. but he was smarter than he looked, and kept hopping backwards. when i tried to scoop him in with the lid, he hopped up my arm, over my shoulder and onto the wall. That was his last mistake, with no cover, we caught him and released him into the wild... :catgirl:

    That's right up there with the old squirrel-in-the-lounge incident. That would be quite the shocker indeed.

    that's funny. I have a friend who lived in an old home and there was always a squirrel who would come to the bathroom window (and inside once) and act as a voyeur when he did his business. tbh I think he was too lazy to close the window in the summer.

    LOL. That reminds me of the time I was up in the country...in an outhouse. It was raining inside, and all of a sudden, this black bundle of fur shoots into my lap! I thought it was a skunk or something!

    It was my aunt's cat, Muffin.

    Think it would have been more of a shock to the frog if you didnt notice it & went on with your business :sweat2:

    lessee... animals in the house... animals in the house... nothing i didnt expect... though were they ended up was a surprise;

    Iguana on the stairs (Escaped & felt like taking a walk)
    Tarantula frozen to death on the tv (Escaped from it's tropical heated tank & tried warming up on the turned on tv... wasnt warm enough seeing as this is scotland)
    Grass snake in the toilet (Another escapee, went down the bowl)

    Suffice to say my uncles liked to buy weird pets back then :/

    Holy cr*p! I would freak out if that happened to me. Spiders scare a lot. Though that is quite funny.
    However that frog or toad is pretty cute. I would just start laughing if that happened to me.

    My only story is when I left my bedroom window open at night and a sparrow flew in. I woke up to have the thing about a foot away from my head. :dizzy2: That was quite the suprise. :catgirl:

    lol! Cute lil froggy... but I know that I'd freak out if I seen one in my bathroom.
    I had a similar experience with a cockroach! And what made matters worse was that it flew! :sweat2:

    ok.. well insects and rodents.. A few years back living in the basement when at Uni, there was a centipede problem and one night, as I went to bed at 1 am, I looked almost directly up over my bed up and saw a shadow on the ceiling and wondered where it was from.. then I jumped out of bed, turned on the light to have this huge long centipede sticking to the ceiling, so I ran out of my room grabbed a piece of wood leftover from framing and squished it, but some landed on my bedspread so I was mad. .. I'm sorry.. yes I killed a bug..it was nasty.

    As well, there was a mouse nest to the left above my bedroom. The first night, half-awake I could hear scampering across my ceiling, behind in the walls on almost all sides and freaked out thinking it was the centipedes coming to get me. Later on I found out, from all the noises they were mice. It was sick because they would squeal out as well.. like they were doing something.. ><
    Around the same time I thought there was a mouse above in the kitchen basement area. It was squealing I called my other roommate and later she found out it was a bird caught in the air duct connected to the dryer. she freed that..I probably would have cooked it.

    Some other time, same house, I was making dinner upstairs, thank God I was done making my food, holding the plate in one hand, turning off the stove top burner when suddenly all these large (carpenter?) ants started coming out from the fan above the stove so I was squishing them and hitting them and freaking out and calling my other roomies to come over who were watching tv, I was like 'There are huge ANTS! huge ants! Come over! Come help!' AND I was squishing them and trying to save some other food as I was balancing my own cooked food on a plate in my other hand squishing and maiming. yes ants. poor things, die! well I got mad at my room-mates after the huge flood of ants, so I left them dead and/or still moving on the stove and went downstairs to eat.
    later my roomie said she thought I was joking... -__-;

    I hope you don't think less of me for my confessions.. of death..

    a while ago about a year and a half, there was a snake that decided to nest in a clothes basket full of clothes and one evening, it decided to climb out and was at the top of the stairs right by the door. well my sister is afraid of them...deathly afraid...and as she walked down stairs to do laundry, she was in a skirt and right between her legs was the snake as it twirled and squirmed she screamed, ran through the kitchen, got her kids up on the table, grabbed the phone, hopped up on a chair, and called my mom(as we were all in the store buying B-B's for the BB gun) and she was crying and was screaming and freaking out on the phone as we were all cracking up laughing when we heard what happened. well my mom and my sisters and my bro and i ran out of the store after purchasing the little things and when we came home, she was crying and still standing on the chair and didnt move till it was gone. she ended up calling a friend of hers to come and get it out of the house....hehe....it ended up we had a snake nest thing under our porch. but we moved all the snakes miles and miles away, so they arent coming back any time soon;)

    but we have also had a frog in the toilet and a mouse in the toilet....ew.

    lol. never had any snakes or mice stories, had a big redback living under the door handle of our car last year though. that scared the crap out of me. :catgirl: . mashed it good though.
    same!. i was trying to kill it when it happened. i couldn't work out where it had gone. then i realised it was on my back!. :sweat2: . good thing it was only a little one.
    when i was little we had pet hermit crabs. they're sadly still the only pets i've had. within the 1st 3 months they ate each other. :D
