Creative Writing Songs

I wrote this song today:

Night of Death

Again, the day has Darkened.
No fires are lit tonight.
The wind blows bodies down thy river.
On this darkened Night ofDeath.** (**Repeat)

The winds are cold as we pray.
On this darkened night.
The breeze blows Death in our face.
Until the Light of Day.

They lived many a moons.
Loyal to our people.
Awaiting for their chance this moon,
To fight for their freedom.

**

Families cry tears of blood.
For now, their loved ones are gone.
Warriors that fought for love and honor.
Now lie deadfor daysto com.

**

We pray for peace from war.
To keep the blood from spreading.
Our people's blood stains the water.
Crimson Red Forever.

I think it's cool. Iv'e made up songs myself but I never write them down. I think it's better then all the songs Iv'e had in my head.

 

it all depends... that one repeats too much so I'm gonna edit it a bit soon.

 

Sounds good to me but I still think it's really good. I'm still trying to make up my song. Once I did for September 11th. I still have it but not on me right now. I wrote it right after the tragedy. So I don't remember it.

It is fairly well written, I like the subject matter. It does, however, sound more like a poem than a song. I would have to withhold my final judgement until I heard it with music...
