1 there is no sound card slot... It's a PCI slot you must have around 5 inyour system below the AGP slot

2 a)Audigy card (about any of there versions)
    B)nForce2 integrated sound system
C)Sound Blaster Live 5.1 (which I have and sounds sweet)

3if you bought the card after 1995 it has to be 16bits

    I said that cause i'm almost 99.99999999999999999999% percent sure it's 16bit
    Audigy's are 24bit
but you'll only hear the diferrence from a normal Sound Blaster Live if you enable EAX3 or 4 in games usual everyday use you won't probably notice the difference

If you don't know what the bit rating on a sound card means, then why do you care or need to know it?

I've yet to see software that requires a 24-bit sound card, as I've had no problem for a loooong time with my 16-bit SB Live.

If you're talking about a game configuration setting, if you don't have 24-bit, you more than likely won't even have the option of selecting any such features.

So, ask Ark said, you really shouldn't care one way or the other.
