Cowboy Bebop Spike's Eye...

    Anyone know the details of Spike's artificial eye?

    I have not seen all the episodes. And it's been nagging me ever since he said it was fake in the last episode...

    He lost it in an accident...I know that much...
    But I wanna know the true details...

    At the bigging of episode 6: Sthmpathy for the Devil (fogive spelling), it shows a flash back to the time when they were putting it into spikes socket... but it never really goes into detail about the eye... and i have seen every ep. so, i dont know

    Well it does not Exactly say.. But if you have seen the last ep he does say.

    In this eye i see the present and in this eye i live in the past.. So Im assuming he is refering to when him and vicious last fought over Julia. that somehow he lost it.

    the reason he had that eye was cause he had a fight with viciuos over juila-spike was shot around the eye so they needed to repair.he has a robotic eye.which keeps bringing him back memorys cause when he los his eye-every memory you see in every episode that is what he saw.do you get it

    Wow thanks for repeating prety much what i just explained.. and umm How would you know if he got shot in the face.. they never explained how he lost his eye!

    not in the current movie...i've seen it 3 times now.
    and either way, he lost it to vicious. and just it being there makes him think back. it holds him back to the past, like any scar does. it's symbolism! bwahaha

    Yes, it's very symbolic. And I'm not sure if this is anything notable, but at the end when Julia looks into his eye, she sees her reflection. Which eye was it? Maybe just maybe it means something!!!

    Well if it is the past eye it most likely represents the times they had in the past and if it is the other well it probably just a way as enhancing Julia's death. I believe they did the same thing in a John Woo movie made a while back. And the series has a lot of john woo type scenes like when the doves flew when Julia was falling.

    Well if Spike faked his own death thats news to every bebop fan id say..

    No he did not fake a death.. he just in a metaphoric way died.

    I havent seen the movie i have seen every episode but not the movie. whats it about and its in the middle of the episodes right.
