Where are you located? Nobody can tell ya if we don't know where ya are! But California is getting the cinema release. Hell, my friend saw it opening night...which I am very jealous about since I was babysitting my sister that night, and she had an extra ticket to the show.

BUT, I get to see it this weekend...so, yay to me!!! YAY!!!

Pretty cool film. At times it gave me that same headache that I get from Wizard of Oz, Cabin Boy or Mystery Men, but nonetheless, I enjoyed it. Had an air all its own. Love the scene of the girl (I suck with names, in any language) walking along with a fly carrying a mini-hippo looking thing, and a big black thing with a white mask, and there's a lamp with a foot moving around. Pretty Lewis Carroll.

Theatrical release would be cool, as long as it isn't a flubbed dub.

Ianslove, I'm nowhere near Oakland. Hehehe, sorry. I actually live near LA. Actually, if you wanna get specific, I live in Azusa Canyon.

Yea, I saw the newspaper ad about its release (from a friend). I'm going to borrow it so I can watch it in the luxury of home...and maybe also however many times I'm driven to watch it!!

I've watched a copy from the japanese DVD version. It's a wonderful story of love, loyalty, the spirit of a 10 year old girl and the care we have to take with the enviroment (some constant issues on Miyasaki's works). If someone doesn't knows about Miyasaki's films (known in his country as the japanese Disney), Please don't miss My neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke and Porco Rosso. Or if you want to see one of his series, Lupin III worth a view.

    Or go Here:

Bam! Hehe, I just watches this movie today...and I must say that it was amazing. The dubs were alright, but just the mixture of the funny stuff and the storyline is excellent. I don't know...maybe I'm not a hard enough critic. But, in any case, I thought it was an excellent watch. And I'd recommend it to anyone.

One thing that *did* disappoint me is that a lot of the shops and things that *were* in japanese were not titled. So, more'n a few people didn't know what some of them were. That is, of course, until the characters baltantly pointed out what it was. "Wow, there are only restaurants here." and "Oh, it's a bath house." But, the name of the place they went, the name of the street one setting was in...they weren't known. It's a small gripe, and awfully nitpicky of me, but yeah.

They kept all japanese names, which made me happy to no end. I'd probably be *pissed* if they named Chiharu something like...Stacey or something. Bah, Amara and Michelle...*BAH*. Oh, and they kept the ending theme strictly japanese, at least, what I heard of it. Hehe...too bad I was looking for subtitles most of the time. =P

Anywho...as probably everyone already told you, I strongly suggest to watch the movie. If only just to see the funnies, it was worth it.
