    I believe this to be an appropriate forum for this, even though it applies to all the forums. Spoilers. When you haven't seen all of a series or something, they can be as annoying as ****, but the problem is that most people around here don't mark them. Like just a minute ago I got a big eva spoiler while minding my own buisness in the "Which anime character" thread. I don't think there's vB code for
    spoilers
    , but I just would like to ask the general populace to be careful. If you think something is spoilerish, just mark it with a *******eva spoiler******* or something. That is all, cheers for your time.

    Trouble is DL that if you're really familiar with something, say because it's a big favourite, you get so familiar with it that you can forget that the whole world doesn't know about it. And sometimes people just slip up.
    But I think if a series has been around a long time, and you're on a fan forum, people can come to expect others to be familiar with it. Like I don't think anyone should be criticised if they let it slip that Vegeta is Trunks' dad. Without wanting to risk any further spoilers, can I assume that the Eva spoiler is something to do with the movies? Because the series had been out so long and is so readily available that I think most people would assume that almost all anime fans are pretty familiar with it.

    Because itll allow people to, yknow, kinda scroll through without making them have to see the spoilers. Because, if somethings in front of you, whether you want to or not, you may read it accidentalli...

    A good example would be me and MO's trade off of spoilers in the FLCL/Furi Kuri forum. It's in the "WTF!?" thread, to be exact. It became so overrun with spoilers and such that I suggest you watch the series before looking in there :D.

    Maybe there should be an actual forum for spoilers? No. Wait. That's just weird. ^^; Marking off the spoilers is enough. :sweat:

    for a long time, i never read this thread because i thought this WAS a thread for spoilers, and i didnt want to wreck anything for me, so i never read it. yeah.

    While it would be nice if they did that so that you have to highlight it to read it, there are multiple layouts and some colours dont vanish against the background, or worse, some stand out!!!

    For now official procedure is just to say something like

    ***SPOILER ALERT***

    spoiling stuff

    ***END SPOILER ALERT***

    or

    spoiling stuff

    CB is right we should have a seperate color for spoilers like red or someti=hing cause ppl generaly dont like me to give spoilers and yeah...
    something that merges into the backround.
    please highlight underneathe

    I am very ignorant and like to use many words that the censor script blocks. I also have the nerve to direct my ignorant comments towards a board that was nice enough to let me join.

    :D why not just go and install one of the spoiler hacks or what ever, so you can just use the ? i just think it would be the easiest way :p anyway i dont care one way or the other just as long as i am warned before reading spoilers.

    Zero had that idea about the colour change to the light grey. but it may be best to just have stars and have spoiler and trail it to the bottom. because theres a variety of different styles for the m2a look, even though 1469 people may not know this or prefer the standard default. and I don't know what these colours look like on those backgrounds. I know 'Cloud' is black so light colours are more noticeable then darker ones. so it varies.

    Heh, Daikon-Atama-Kun, do you think the poiler option will make it into the vB Code options in posts? I mean, yeah, having the tag will help a lot...but a lot of people also don't do anything unless there's a button for it...

    It'd make things easier for new people, to have one. But, that's just a suggestion, too.

    And might this bit of news make it into the M2A charter thingy?
