Video Games stalker

Forget doom3, I have a new game I'm looking forward to for all my 3dcard taxing, piss my pants needs: stalker. This game looks amazing. RPG/FPS/survival. The story is interesting, and looks like it will be a good setup for me to immerse myself in the game and get scared. Have a look at stalker's official site

You, like Doom3, have been sucker punched by Half Life 2. Through it all, Deus Ex 2 plods along. I'll come back and visit you in a year or two, and I better see progress!

I think of getting it but the problem is that I have to get a GeForce4 FX card, my MX won't work with it *sigh*

I think that GeForce3 FX will work byt I'm not sure

 

:glazed: i haven't seen that good grapics since....never. But i'm poor and live in a box, so'll i never get this game. i post from a nearby library.

 

ill probably buy it when i get my better video card. im gonna buy a radeon 9700 because by the time i get the money it will be about 300 where i live. its like 350 now, but hey, that 50 bucks i save could buy this game. ya never know

it looks good. i'd like to play it. maybe buy it if i play it and its good.

 

It looks interesting, but the layering and texturing doesn't look that impressive by todays standards. Elderscrolls with the graphics maxed out seemed a fair bit more impressive.

Talking of that stuff, how about the under water bubbles and seeing ripples at the surface when your under water and someone shoots at you... Came across that in one of the updated Firearms maps, the fluid motion and coloring impressed me a great deal.
