Video Games Suikoden

You might wanna be warned there, Ark... Me and a buddy have already fallen prey to what I label as the "Suikoden II" curse...

Basically the curse is that if you purchase this game it will disappear before you even play it. It happened to us both on two seperate occassions.

1st time: I bought it on sale at Wal-Mart, but the game and bill disappeared before I made it out of the store...watch those dishonest people out there in the world.

2nd time: My buddy bought a previously played copy while I was around and brought it home. He was on a spurt, and as such, bought about 4 or 5 games at once. So, Sui2 was shelved, since he hadn't finished Suikoden...but lo and behold, a month later it went missing, and we haven't seen it since.

Warning to all buyers out there! Make sure that after you buy this game that you don't neglect it! Play it as soon as possible, or it will vanish without a trace!

Rant aside, I have yet to play the game. I'm not particularly ready to buy the game a second time just because someone fingered it off me...

 

I agree, Suikoden was awesome. One of the funnest, to be sure. The "RTS" aspect was really fun, and it could cripple your forces because your fighters CAN and WILL die. But, that's where having around...50+ fighters come in. It sucks that some of them are really mediocre, but still...having that many is great for backups.

Plus the 108 TOTAL characters in your "Town". I've only gotten around 80 or so total myself when I played oh so long ago. Then there's the combination magics...and the many different Runes...it's just so fun!

Trust me, even if you only play for the military "sim" it's pretty darned fun.

And spam is useless, unintelligent (errr...i might have to rethink that one...), really short posts that have no place staying on M2A's forum.

*AHEM* Anyway, I'd much rather that Suikoden not have its own forum, much as I'd like the game. If not everyone here likes it, then it's going to be one of those really dead forums. And that would insult its greatness. FF on the other hand, that used to have so much coverage in the Video Games section (before you were a member) that it's all that was pretty much talked about. Well, for the most part. Shoulda seen it Viper, there were times where the hole page filled out on FF. This was one of, if not the first, mentions of Suikoden here...so I don't think they'd make a forum just for that, ne?
