Just to add to what Nick said. I saw the Redux version at the Zeigfeld here in NYC.The sound is vastly better then the original and the
new print looks excellent though the color was a bit too saturated for my taste. Unlike many directors cuts that just add filler with
no key scenes, this one adds some really good development sequences featuring Robert Duvall and some others with Brando. Yeah
there is some added filler too. There's a significant amount of new music and a lot of it is clearly meant to sound like Tomita. One
cue even has Tomita's classic "whistling" style.
