Recreation Suspened....

This week I got suspened for 3 days and been told that I can't play football for 2 weeks (Explain why I'm on-line this forum more than usual.) Reason, on one of my paper I wrote:

"Grab yo gun and cap someone"

Yet everyone at school and friends on-line told me that I shouldn't have got suspened for 3 days over this... Now I know all 'bout the shootings in the past and the Maryland sniper shootings, but I wasn't threating anyone, i was just bored, and I think this suspension is bull...

You think I deserve this or they being to strict?

we have people swearing at teachers and only losing there lunchtime, but suspenede for that WOW, i think you should go back into school and punch that god damn teach ROARRRRR...sorry, i just hate strict teachers, but it was god damn strict.

 

Please, son. Back a year ago i got suspended because some ***** says he pulled a boxcutter outta my pack. I got 2 weeks OSS. (Out School Suspension)

But yeah, 3 days over a sentece? Thats a little extreme. Its not like you're saying you were gonna do it or anything. Oh well, school sucks...oh well, enjoy your mini vacation...

 

I can sum the whole idea of this kind of suspension in two words. One of which is 'utter'. The other is a four letter word that begins with the letter 's' and is a vulgar term for feces. Since the whole Columbine bullcrap, people, mainly teachers and parents, are paranoid as all (see vulgar word described above). Don't feel like you're the only one, I can't count how many times that's happened to my friends for saying something that involved either words "gun" or "bomb". That's like a ten-day suspension, just like when you get into a fight. Though fights sometimes are only five days. Eh, as I said, I just think the whole thing is bull****. I'm about ready to just do what Ben Stiller did in Meet the Parents.

I really don't think that you should have been suspended for that, I mean you do have freedom of speech and all... but I guess that some things could seem threatening to teachers... Next time put it in quotes, like "Grab yo gun and cap someone"(Random Gangster, 2) errr, at first I thought that you meant that you put this in one of your essay papers ^^>

i dunno where u live, but its in america or someplace like that, well i can understand why. maybe the teachers are scared of u, plus all this talk about war and all the shits thats been going down, u know, it might just makem people a little edgy, you know.
But that doesnt mean i dont agree with u, i mean c'mon three days is a long time for 2 seconds of writing.
But u know, consider it from a different point of veiw.

 

i got in school suspension (had to go to school and sit in the hall for a week, couldn't go to class.. oh no) for a week because I broke my best friends tooth in 1st year.

it was an accident i hit him over the head with a geography book, and his head smacked off the table and chipped his front tooth.

wonder what I would have gotten if I'd done that in your school

 

That really does suck. And its stupid. I like living here but not all the time. You really shouldnt have had 3 days off. It doesnt make sense. They should stop being paranoid. If they treat people with respect they wouldnt have to worry about someone grabbing guns. Its ridiculous.
My teacher advised me to speak to a counselor b/c I was having a bad day. Meaning stupid ignorant people were teasing me and I had enough. I could only take so much before I went insane. I said I wonder why students shoot up their classmates and I left the room. I went to speak with this consler. and all I got was even harsher words, the cold shoulder. The assistant principle asked me what the problem was. I said I dont feel good and im tired of people making fun of me. Its wrong to judge others just becuase they are "different". He said what you want to shoot up the school? do you feel like hurting someone? I said, "i said nothing of that sort," then he made me sit in a room with a cop. the cop went to get something and I left. Of course I left that dumb school. but just go to another and find it ther also. and of course when i express myself they want to call me a terrorist.

i am having a really hard time at school at the moment, and my french teacher was making it even mor difficult. so i socked him and broke his nose. guess how long i was suspended for. 3 days.

 

Everything that I have heard in this thread is a crock of bollocks. Not on the part of the member, but of the school. Someone formerly(I think they were later expelled) in my year threw a rock at someone and chipped their tooth, then on a later date, started setting deoderants on fire in the gym, and all that happened to them was they were moverd to a different class. It's all ****ed up.

 

I have never been suspended before. But my little sister has over 5 times (each time was for about a day). Shes Autistic though so it's usually for really stupid reasons. I don't want to talk about it since it's really depressing though.

 

Back in my school there was a guy who took a whiz in the corner of a classroom..In the middle of a class!

Suffice to say, the guy was a complete loony..his parents were called in, he got a telling off..and that was it!

Us Irish hooligans eh, we'd get away with murder.. (or probably get suspended for 3 days cause of it )

 

Wow. Thats strict. I write tons of **** like that in essays and I never get anything said to me about it. I wrote about how I plan to take down the government ( The title was: Glass bottle + Petrol + Oily Rag = REVOLUTION!) even though it was a humourus one instead of a serious one.
Ive done a whole load of crazy ****. In a RE essay I called religion propaganda but the teacher still had to give me an A cos it was in the context of an Essay. Worst things ive wrote was a death scene where someone gets a sword stuck into them, lifted in the air and sprayed with a M-16 rifle. I also had one or two rape scenes. The parents WERE called but apparently I got off cos "His imagination is too vivid". Still, dosent beat the facist guy who decorates all his books with Nazi symbols and Facist posters.

I've never been suspended, but then this is Canada. Mostly I learned that only the unoriginal need to swear to get their point across, so my vocabulary only really includes "damn" & "hell".

Still, it's totally idiotic to get suspended for anything like that! Heck, suspensions in general are stupid. And why is it that guidance counsellors never really give you any guidance that you want to hear?

I smeared butter in some kids face in the cafeteria, and kicked him in the shin, and since it never happened to me before, it was straight to the guidance counsellor. Stupid? Just didn't want to see a good kid go wrong? You decide.

 

Well guess what people, I'm not suspended for 3 days, but 2 weeks. Thats right for the next 14 days I'm not allowed to step 50 feet from school grounds or I'm trespassing and could be arrest off the ground.

All for a dang line on a paper... Schools are ignorant of the intellegent, fearful of the insightful, and paranoid of the eccentric. The only thing i have to say is: Play it right and it wont go on your record *Wink wink*
