I don't think its funny at all. Not only for the reason that they've used Terry Schiavo (which i just think is wrong), but also cause the whole joke itself is just plain crap.
hmm recieved bad rep from someone i say no names and i will not say the message that it had with it for i do not hold a grudge nor do i get even i just forgive. But is this or is this not entitled Takes this lightly. so i think this isn't about discussing that it's wrong but the humour of it that it contains even if its a little and sick humour.
Emmm, no. This is about disscussing the topic that is posted. You are correct when you said that the thread's name is "Take this lightly", and we all did. If we didn't, i could assure you someone that posted here may have gotten banned. Anyways, all threads are open to disscussion about the topic. And this "joke" is no exception. But i think we all still have got to keep in mind that the rules say to respect others. Correct me if i'm wrong, but how is the following giving any respect? Be it the person dead, or alive? Perhaps you got the reputation down for your lack of respectfullness for this dead person. And i don't even think you're supposed to say you got rep. down from somebody.... -Seishin
alright i got it that you all have respect for someone thats dead...who was braindead who didn't have a thought for years and who just got relieved from the chains of life yesterday i got it and ill leave it at that
I can see how some people have disrespect for the dead...and especially a case such as this one. And then other people just express their respect. I understood the joke, and quite honestly its not something to laugh a lot over. And if you do, dont overdo it. - Kaiyon
Man im getting attacked more than a piece of chicken by a hungry wolf...you really think thats bad just adding a snickers ha thats nothing i could give you a site that would make you post for weeks but i wont...Terry Schiavo she's dead im glad for that two things.first Shes out of the pain that she was in or going through i dont know if she could feel that or even notice it but im not a docter...second the publicity of her near-death having will finally stop on this forum and with time the nam Terry Schiavo will disappear and im happy for that.
Know that a life is still a life, even if they are disabled. And i still don't get how you're happy someone's dead, or how you thought that add was "that" funny.... BTW, i thought you said you were "leaving it at that"? -Seishin
ok, i just had a friend who died sunday and i just got back from their ceremony and am going to the funreal tomorrow. we were asked if anybody wanted to say anything and i did. my words exactly were "follow his life by example, live veryday like its your last, life is a special gift and is not to be taken lightly." so i respect this womans life and in no way find this humorous in any way. but every one has their opinions and thats why we're here.
