    Yes its been a very long time since my mouth had open'd but it returns with news of.....Tnechi muyo Gxp...well not really just been reading small bits about it such as..


    -Mihoshi's mum is one of the main characters
    -a new male lead will be added
    -a new femal Gp officer seems to be taking a Ryoko charactistic
    -It is based after OVA3!!
    -A Masaki character will appear but it is a new charcter whom i have little info on
    -Ryoko does appear as does other normal characters but they have mere cameos. Ryoko plays a bigger role me thinx.
    -The website is open (its a-i-c.jp or something you'll have to use babblefish.)

    Theres a advert for it there which makes it look hmmm allright but i do have my doubts. No news on OVA 3 though [​IMG]

    http://www.tenchi-web.com is currently devoted to the GXP series. I tend to find Babel-fish translations just as unintelligible as Japanese, so I'd known nothing about it except that randam Masaki relative was in it somewhere.

    If you want a guide to the confusing Bable talks go to the site i recommanded and someone in the board has all the translatios up

    e.g:
    Heaven and earth =Tenchi
    Thunder down a tree= Jurai (or something liek that)

    Incidentally, AIC's english website (www.aicanime.com) Is delightfully uninformative on the subject of both GXP and OVA3, but then, it's a relatively new site, I do believe.

    Some random tidbits from the discussion (nothing official):

    "From bits of information and rumors I read even before the site was up, "Tenchi Muyo - Galaxy Police" is a complete new series and no Tenchi regular characters will show up, even Kyione and Mihoshi, the woman who looks like Mihoshi in GXP is actually her mother (who is supposed to have been briefly mentioned in the end of the OVA, I can't remember it, though)"

    That boy is Yamada Seina, who is in no relation to the Masakis. The only character there related to the Masakis is Kiriko Masaki, the girl with the brown/black hair and reminiscent to Kiyone.
    Ryouko is in fact IN GXP, as well as Tenchi and Mihoshi, later as cameos.
    That is not Mihoshi, but her mother Mitoto Kuramitsu. She's pretty much the top caretaker of GP HQ besides the Grand Marshall. The short haired girl's name is Amare, and is a GP officer.

    This series is set one year after OAV 3, but is due out BEFORE OAV 3 to give OAV 3 a prequel feel to it.

    So in fact, some OAV 3 spoilers will arise, and will make you ask yourself... 'Why did this happen, how come he/she is here/not here?' etc. Kajishima said so in his interview."

    Maybe helpful to whet your appetite, maybe not...

    BakaMattSu, no Kiyone? Maybe the series won't be that enjoyable to me...

    GXP whats the news?

    Anyone know what this new tenchi spin off is like yet? (i.e anyone get a subbed version or bootleg or something ??) Cause i'm hoping its nothing like tenchi in tokyo (i.e they have learnt from their mistakes) anyway i've seen pics and stuff and so far i'm just confused?? (puts on a mihoshi expression) which is common when tenchi muyo is involved...

    Its been subbed by various fansubbing groups.. but now UpTownAnime are going to continue subbing.. since its been licenced now...

    as far as the storyline i dont know much ^^;; but alot of my friends have said that its reallly good... *anything is better than tenchi in tokyo ^^;;;; ... *

    i havent downloaded them myself but i will sooner or later.. since they are huge files ~230MG each... :)

    Well, I heard that Toonami was going to air it sometime or other... Then again , they will probably ruin it by editing the hell out of it.... http://www.toonamiarsenal.com has the intro to it somewhere on their site.... check it out!

    Well, that's interesting... After showing all the 'core' Tenchi series (ie not Magical Girl Pretty Sammy) it's cool that they're interested in showing a spin-off that doesn't have all the standard cast in it. Who has this? Pioneer? Haven't seen any yet, but am still anxiously interested.

    And for that matter, does anybody know when the third OVA series is supposed to start coming out in Japan?

    I sure hope they hurry with the 3rd OVA series. After countless spin-offs and alternate versions it'd be nice to see a conclusion to the previous OVA's story.

    Well, I hope they release it soon, because Cartoon Network does get annoying with their re-runs all the time.. But, hopefully I can get it all on DVD instead :p .... anybody know where I can get the Pretty Sammy special on dvd?? <<instead of online? I can't seem to find them anywhere....

    just a little snippet the guy who wrote GXP is the same guy who wrote the original OVA its a good confidence booster....

    Pioneer announced at a con few weeks ago that they were going to put out the Pretty Sammy special on DVD in October, and Magical Project S would start going to DVD soon after.

    ALright! HAHHA I can't wait! Seriously, I love all the Tenchi Muyo series and things related to them.. HAh ha! Now, I gotta work my arse off so I can afford all them... Darn Sam Goody and their expensiveness! All your anime are belong to me!.. or maybe I'll just hope that Best Buy gets them in... *HOPE* is the keyword here...

    Argh.. gotta stay off the rock candy... :D

    Tenchi in tokyo was not that bad. Anyway I heard that it will come to the us in the spring of 2003.:mad:

    I heard that funmation has pick up the right's to tenchi gxp over the weekend. Let's hope they can keep the same voice'es in esp 17!!! I just well be hard for me to see ryoko in a different voice!!!:p

    Maybe Toonami won't edit GXP?
    But that's just me hoping. After all, they did make a complete mess of editing the original OVA.
