It's a sad occasion for fans of the sequential art. I know technically this should be in the comic forum, but I think everyone should read this.

And it could easily be switched round to anime too. As animation and comics are viewed in a similar light by the ignorant.

So what do you think? Isolated case or a 20 year set back for the art form?

Sorry to any liberal texans out there, but it seems Texas ALWAYS does something like this. BLOODY CONSERVATIVE IDIOTS. GRRRRRR.

Well, they set back their society's open-mindness back 20 years or so.

I remember when this case was first mentioned (there was another thread somewhere) and lots of people thought it was an outrage as well. It just goes to show that close-mindedness can ruin things for the rest of us. That state-prosecutor with his "closing statement" against Castillo should be thrown into a cage and be displayed at every comic book convention for thousands of comic-fans to gawk and spit at.

Anyway, it's good to know that the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is out there to serve and protect.

Lady Shadow-san, calling all conservatives idiots is essentially prejudiced in itself. Its not like liberals haven't done amazingly stupid things.

Now, in regards to this, I'm wondering precisely where they found these people, because just about every Texan I know not only believed this to be utterly ridiculous but also wanted the whiny idiots executed. And a copy of the comics.

Of course I'm pretty sure that second last bit was a joke.

    I think.
