Simple and easy, this thread is a bit of play where all things saber marionette are game. Someone posts a question or puzzle, and it is up for grabs for anyone who knows the answer. Once answered, the one who guessed right gets to ask the next question and so on until we all get sick of it and the thread dies. ^^

Alright, since I apparently got the answer to the question that sparked this, it would be my turn.

How much money would it cost you to dress like Lime, given you were a citizen of Japoness?

A bit clearer than in my age-old thread about it, eh? :p I was such a n00b when I started it, I didn't think of how to make it clearer. :p

It'd cost you 109 mon, to buy Lime's clothes. If I'm wrong, I swear I'll... do something... yeah >.>

Ooh, so close that I'll give it to you anyway. ^^

When Otaru shells out for Lime's clothing, the shopkeep announces a total of 105 mon.

    All yours, Ragna Blade.

Aww, I was off by 4? Oh well, that's what I get for not watching the series in 6 months. :p I've been sooo behind :dizzy2:

Well, what flavours of crackers did Lime offer Hanagata, when he was being deported :)p) to Xian, and how did the flavours differ in the english dub?

Was going to leave this for someone else to pick up, but alas, no one has.

I had to cheat, since I can't stand the dubs. Never made it more than a few minutes past the title before they begin to grate on me and I revert to Japanese audio.

The scene actually has three different versions depending on if you follow the subtitles, the dub, or the original japanese. Oddly enough, the dub stays closer in tune with the original concept behind the scene - which involves a few puns with Lime's friendly gesture, even though it takes some liberties such as changing the flavour of the rice crackers offered. The subtitles stick closer to an exact translation (except for the fact that Hana despises curry in that version), but entirely foregos the gag behind the scene. Observe:

    DUB (Puns emphasized)
Lime: A cracker cheers you up if you take a good bite!
    Hanagata: You said "good-bye"!
    Lime: These are fairly mild.
Hanagata: Did I hear you say "farewell"?!
    Lime: Here, salt and vinegar!
    Hanagata: "So long, visitor"?!

    SUB
Lime: Hana, have a cracker. It'll cheer you up!
    Hanagata: Did you say "cheers"?!
    Lime: This one's good.
    Hanagata: Did you say "good-bye"?!
Lime: I also have curry flavor.
    Hanagata: "Curry"?! Damn you all!

JAPANESE (Loosely translated, my Japanese ear is poor)
Lime: Ne, Hana-Chan. Some senbei (japanese rice crackers) will cheer you up!
Hanagata: Senbetsu (A farewell gift), is it?!
    Lime: Yep. They're senbei.
    Hanagata: They're senbetsu?!
Lime: Start with the curry ones.
    Hanagata: Kaeri (Return)?!

...so, I can answer half your question with "Curry", and "Salt & Vinegar" for the dubbed version, but the only spoken description for the other flavour I made out was "mild". There's a label on the package, but I can't read a thing on it. Maybe someone more cultured could translate it and answer the second half? I attached a screenshot below.

Aha..."Sarada". Both Lime and Hanagata were saying that, and for the life of me I couldn't figure out what the word meant - salad, durr. Salad flavored rice chips...hmm...Another mystery solved.

    So, my turn again!

How many different colours of ponta-kun exist?

(Bonus points for listing all the colours as well)

Hmm... in my memory I remember 4 colours. Pink, yellow, green, and blue.

I'm probably wrong though, and I don't want to cheat. I'll check on my answer after I make this post instead. :p
