I don't agree. I think stupidity is the problem, and First World Nations should stop meddling in Third World affairs.

but heck, if they do stop, then maybe less people will die! oh no!

I find nothing wrong with the world's ressources, countries should spend time helping out their farmers more though, I find more farmers losing their farms etc..

    I imagine it like this:

A millionaire is telling a town of 1,000 people that if they were less, they could distribute the 100 dollars total they have, more efficiently.

The problem isn't exactly the quantity of people, but the population density, and the amount of garbage they generate.

Of course nobody wants to become responsible for cleaning up everything... politicians don't want to raise taxes, and businessmen just want money. The world sucks :(

I think we should get the Mythbusters to test that theory Kame. Anyhow, the world isn't over populated, just many countries are too poor to get everyone a house or something so it just looks like the world is over populated.

That's true... somebody please explain me why Japan, which has a very little area and is very dense in population, is one of the richest countries in the world, while other countries with such a large area, are so poor.

    Overpopulation doesn't make sense.

P.S. Check out http://www.pop.org/ for more arguments against overpopulation.

I think the world isn't overpopulated just some Countries.

People think we are overpopulated because people are starving right? I think the countries and cities should be reasponsible for that. Like Ciel said farms are closing. Farmers should make a lot more then they do now a days.

Japan has a growing economy. It is surrounded by a good enough food source like the Ocean. :p

Over-Population? I dont think it could ever really happen. The only problem is the way people get land. Like take for instance people with large amounts of money. They have mansions and have acres and acres of land. Land that many people could have lived in. At this rate, all the rich people will have all the land....and the poor will be in the corner of some place.
