    This is one of the best movies i have seen this year. The effects are awesome. It is one of those movies where you stay on the edge of your seat the whole time.

    It wouldn't really usualy be my kinda film, but I have to say I really enjoyed it and actually was on the edge of my seat for parts, but that's probably just because I'm a jumpy person :sweat2: . But, yeah it was good.

    I though this was quite a good movie, the effects were really good. Even though there was the classic 'shy guy, hot chick, nerd and jock' combination :anime:
    Those wolves scared the life outta me too.... :sad:

    I've seen that movie few weeks ago, I really liked it, it was very interesting and exciting. It was that kind of movie that you don't want to even blink so that you won't miss anything!!

    I really enjoyed it, it was worth the money, time & effort. :)

    OK...so I didn't see the movie..but I talked to a friend of mine who did see it..and he said it was awful, since it had stupid things like wolves being the only animals that survived and a guy walking from like, New York to Philidelphia in sub-zero temperatures.

    That kinda turned me off to this movie.

    :D Did you happen to read any of the numerous articles that came out about this movie with titles like could it really happen??? There is speculation that global warming will (at least partially) melt the arctic ice cap, which would disrupt the gulf stream. The gulf stream brings warm water up north to Europe and N America and without it things could get very cold/. (If this is exactly what the movie said: sorry, I haven't seen it).

    The thing I have to wonder then is if it gets way cold up north, wouldn't the ice cap expand again, and the gulf stream then start up once more? Or once it's gone is it basically dead for good? It seems that with the earth getting warmer, such a cold period up north couldn't last long..

    Then again, with more ice and snow, more of the sun's light (and heat) is reflected back into space, so maybe that would start an ice age :D That would end global warming in a hurry..

    Is the distance between New York & Philidelphia really a big one?
    And yeah, the wolvs part was kind of.. out of place?

    I saw it... I both liked it and disliked it. For one, the characters were rather one-sided, as in most action films, and some of the plot was very predictable or implausible. However, the SFX quite made up for most of it. All that Terragen work on the big screen was very, very appealing ^^;
