From what ive been seeing on tv lately the Future of Good Anime series is going down the shiter. That or there has not been many new anime's,
And maybe North america is puting out shity rip off's (the New Transformers for one, Jacky Chan's adventures).... and most other anime that has finaly made it to tv in canada ive seen is more for kids. and I cant stomach that stuff anymore.
Or am I just not looking very hard anymore.. Or is there new Great Oldschool Style (good plot and lots of Killing) Anime's coming out * like (Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Spriggan, Neon G,, Stuff like that)

Any way whats your though on this and if you know of some new stuff that looks great let me and anyone who reads this post know..

Fear not, my Canadian friend, Anime is not dead yet! There's something for everyone in some series that were released this past year, and more on the way from other studios on the way. Miyazaki came out with a new movie this past year ('Spirited Away' for the english version) Also such noteworthy series as Boogiepop Phantom and Noir are among the new crop of Anime from this last year. It isn't that anime is drifting down, no sir, there's some wonderful treasures in anime to be had. I haven't even scratched the surface of the new stuff out there, so fear not!

Yo, Jackie Chan Adventures isn't an anime. It just has an anime-like feel to it.
As for the quality of the anime we get on TV, I have to disagree. True, most of it's crap, but we have a bit of goodness. I recommend Medabots. It's obviously targetted at a younger audience, but I think it's pretty good.
And anyway, most TV's pretty bad, so why would anime be any different?

Try getting Ebichu, from Hideaki Anno and Gainax (yep the same from Evangelion). You will not believe how could a naughty hamster and her owner be that funny

You think its bad in Canada! Try living in Australia and not living in Sydney or Melbourne! There's little to nothing on tv (free to air and cable) and it's almost impossible to find anything good to buy!
Bloody Melbourne and Sydney have all the good stuff!

Yup, we get almost nothing here, we can't even order stuff in and there isn't much on R2 DVD(in english) anyway, so we're boned any way you look at it. Also, almost all the anime I see for sale here is hideously overpriced, VHD vhs for around €35, and even that was sold out almost straight away. Because it's so hard to get, if you find something you don't buy right away, someone else will.
