    The Gunslinger... (first OC toying)

my first try on open canvas 3.03E plus.
It took me 3-4 hours or so, all done in the program with my mini-sized tablet...
Sort of inspired by the book "The Gunslinger" by Stephen King.
    Enjoy.

Okay. That is really good and that's an understatement. Bigtime. But seriously, that is great! Your first time? Geez! Keep it up!
    Oh yeah. Stephen Rules! :sweat2:

First time on OC yeah. And Stephen rules indeed. I should read more of his work (getting interest in literature lately, oddness...)
Right now I'm reading "The Shining" and I'll probably draw Jack Torrance (not the movie version with the axe, but the book version with the croquethammer. And NO it won't be Jack Nicholson I'll be drawing either XD)

The bad part I can notice about my "painting" myself is the lack of depth on the face. But I'm going to correct that bit later.

I haven't ever tried to draw anything just on the computer. But if you could draw Jack, that'd just be freaky! But funny. If you ever decide to draw him try putting a really crazy look on his face. You know, like his normal face. Ooh! Have you tried Stephen yet?
But with the depth, that can be tricky sometimes. But keep it up!

Hey, you can't call me Kris... :anger2:
And about proportions, I don't know, it's hard to tell with a hat on and big BIG sideburns... Was trying something bit more realistic here. But I suck! Lol..

I think it's pretty good, proportions seem alright from what I can tell. Kinda reminds me of wolverine. :anime:

Also, I honestly do not know how any of you can draw with a tablet. I need to be looking down at the paper when I'm drawing, I don't know why though. Later on I might buy a better one that actually draws on the tablet and computer at the same time.

I was thinking the same thing, about it looking like Wolverine with the side-burns and facial hair. That style always looked swate (though I'm more of a soul-patch and goatee person). Anyways, very good pic. :D I Just started listening to Gunslinger on audio tape (idle note ;P). It'll be sweet to see how you'll do good ole' Jack (though really, I simply cannot picture Jack without seeing Jack Nicholson).
