What format / media type is it all in?

 

The vast majority (anything recent anyway) is in DVD NTSC Region 0 format.

 

Ooh I might like Macross DYRL. BTW, what is the quality of the Macross Saga you have there.

I got DYRL ages ago so its actually a VHS, the same goes for about half of the Macross saga but I have episodes 20 to the end (I think the last episode is 34) on RealPlayer format -- its quite watchable though.

As for the other question, I'm not sure what you mean by original DVDs, they're not copies if that's what you mean. I paid for them and the quality (bar the quality of the subtitling on some of them) is top notch. They are the Hong Kong versions I think, though I get them shipped from Singapore.

Anyway I have Robotech the Macross Saga myself in realplayer format. The reason I asked is because I really want to see the jap version. It isn't subtitled, is it?

 

Sorry, its not the Jap version....its the harmony gold US Robotech.

 

Don't go near the bootleg copy of SDF Macross, the subs are awful and make it unwatchable.
If you want to see it your best bet are those mini box sets Animeigo have begun releasing, it's a better bet then buying the whole set that they originally did.
