Fruits Basket The little boy in the hat! (a Volume 9 spoiler thread)

In the manga, Tohru tells Uo and Hana about her "First love".
He was a little boy who showed Tohru to her house when she was lost,
and he gave her his baseball cap.Tohru still has the cap even now.
To me, the boy looks like either Kyo or Yuki.
My firend had an idea, with an interesting twist.
She ask me "What if it's Akito."
Anyway, long story short...
does anyone know who the little boy is?
If not, what is your guess?

 

It's probably either Kyou or Yuki when they were little.
I'm guessing Kyou more than Yuki.

its kyo.because,i have that book,and even tho its in black and wight, his hair is ornge.i did a lot of studying,and im 100% sure its kyo.and plus,when yuki was little,he coudnt leave the main house,and he alway wore a kimono,and the boy with the hat,was wereing somthing kyo would were.and the figure of the little boy looks like kyos little boy figure.(saw and has the last fruitsbasket dvd)

 

It's true Yuki wasn't let out of the main house when he was younger, but Kyo also had his restrictions: namely his Mother.

She was scared to let him out, so I find it hard to see him doing it either. The only way it was him was he met her when he was with Kasuma.

Even with the presented facts, I guess I'm leaning towards Kyo as well.

I think it was Kyou. Me and my friend were talking about this before and the boy just looks like Kyou. His clothes, attitude and hair (it looks orange) looked like Kyou's. And wasn't he kinda listening in on their conversation (was that in the anime or manga? It was in at least in at least one). He had a funny look on his face, it looked calm, strange <shudder> It was like he knew what they were talking about. Those are my thoughts at least.

I read both the chinese and english books and the DVD too, and I'm 100% sure that it is Yuki. The hairstyle is the same as the 17 yr old Yuki now. Plus the voice and the eyes in the DVD are the same as Yuki.

 

Any idea which volume does this occur in? I have kinda ignored in the last post :sweat:

 

In the english manga version its the beginning of vol 2

All thought i haven't seen the anime yet...i will get around to getting it lol and only read up2 vol 4 of the manga i think its kyo, the way he acts and the clothes hes wearing...could be wrong thought lol

It was Yuki

I'm have to tell everyone that as Much as I want it to be Kyou..It's Yuki. Yuki went in her room when he saw papers scattered around on the floor and saw the hat and then he remembed. So that's that. My point is that Tohru called that boy her fist love....but she dosen't know who he was, so IT DOES NOT MEAN HER LOVE IS YUKI ALRIGHT?! Besides...,she belongs with Kyou.

The little girl meets little boy and they remember much later when everyone's wondering who will her true love be?

I call this the "Love-hina-promised-girl-from-childhood" syndrome. IMHO the series would be much better without this add-on.

 

So it was Yuki! I really thought it was Kyou. Hmmm. Well I was wrong, no biggie. By the way, do you know what volume that picture is from?

It's definately yuki.
Look at the back of the fourth book.
Yuki finds the hat, has a flashback and is like whoa.
He realizes it was tohru, she still dosen't know it was him.
I agree it might of been kyo though.

I think it might have been kyo but now we know its now

 

it's Yuki, but the hat, originally belonged to Kyou..... he dropped it and Yuki picked up and keeped it , since he always dreamt that he could be like Kyou.
