Square Enix The Lost FF game...

    Found an interesting spot over at www.video-fenky.com concerning the Final Fantasy Series.

    Apparently, before FFIV (labeled FF II in the non-Japanese original release) came to be, there was another FFIV in development for the Famicom (NES).

    So far all the FF has been released to PS1 except FF 3 (third sequal for NES). Has anyone seen or heard of it?

    From what i know there releasing that FF3 for the game boy advance arn't they? thats what i heard...

    so this was FF4..... and the FF4 here was suppose to Be FF5...
    thats wierd, but i'm glad that it turned out that way, Cause if that was the case and they went through with the makeing of this game, would that mean that FF5 wouldn't be here? or would it have been FF6.....Darn thats confusing...

    also are they planing on redoing this game? cause it looks pretty fun.

    For GBA?!! That's kinda dissapointing. I was expecting it to be re-release on PS1 just like the FF origins but oh well...

    I knew that one of the FF's was not a new one... that two of them were the same... but i didnt know which ones...

    The game was never finished, although it looks to be like it was fairly into development before being halted, doesn't it? It's unfortunately pretty reasonable to believe we will never see it done.

    On the off-topic subject of FF3, it was originally being slated for Wonderswan Color, but that system died last year, completely shrouding the certainty of the game's release. It was well into development for that platform, so it's slightly possible it may yet make a WSC appearance.

    According to RPGamer, Bandai has supposedly acquired the rights to FF3's publication, in March.

    There are no definite news items pointing in any platform direction, so anything you hear will be based on speculation and rumor. Gameboy Advance does seem a likely target, however. As RPGamer comments, PSX is also a possibility, but it would require another popular title to lump it with as was done in the past with Chronicles, Origins, etc.
