Just two days ago, the newest Matrix game was released. And guess what? It doesn't suck. Not all the way at least.

The entire points is to kick ass into Neo's story of the Matrix. Your weapons? All Martial Arts, Swords and Guns, and Neo's powers.

The concept sounds great, but it's only good.

The game starts with a testing level. You already have the nice trench coat, but enjoy it while it lasts. This level is to test your abilities, and see how far of a dificulty level you can choose. You start in the lobby, and people come at you in a rank like thing; First Security guards, then cops, the SWAT, the Agents, etc.

Then, it's your turn as Thomas Anderson to get away from the agents. You can choose to get caught by agents (and only by agents), or to keep going, and see what happens (which preety much, as a warning, is nothing).

Then, prepare for a long time of training, cause it's not like in the movie, one minute, and you know Kung-Fu. You have to learn how to properly execute the vast array of abilities.

From there, you begin the story, and it's all up to you.

Anyone a word on this game or something?

Oh, and in case you're wondering, it didn't get a half bad score actually. GameSpot rates 7.3 (Good) out of 10.

I played a demo of it at my local EB Games, and I wasn't too impressed. The fact that you got to play as Neo had me interested, but I found the controls a tad bit sluggish. Maybe it was a crappy level or something. It featured Neo sporting khaki pants and a bright green shirt in some house.

Haha this game is only worth renting so you can see the ending, which is just... amazing. I won't say anything more.

I don't think i would buy the game, i'm kinda over my Matrix fad, and this game appears to have the same glitchy grapics that enter the matrix had. I may rent it to see what its like but thats about it.

Actually, the game has almost the exact same type of graphics from the other Matrix game. Kinda looks like a painting to me. :dizzy2:

Might rent it if that was even possible.

It got some medium grades from the Swedish gamer magazines and well...it's better than Enter the Matrix.

If I only had the time :p

    Yeeahh...about that...
Champions of the World? That's gotta be the biggest slaughter ever. I admit that the final boss and CG intro to this boss was kinda cool, but we didn't need the fagish video by the Wachoski Brothers totally killing the mood of the game telling you that there's a new boss.
That being said, the soundtrack was too repeated, which is kinda lame. What's burly brawl without....the song Burly Brawl. Or Aerial Battle without it's theme?
