Cosplay and Conventions The most interesting Con guest...

At most conventions there will be some famous/somewhat famous people in the anime business there to answer questions and what not. Voice actors, artists it really varies. So my question is, and this goes to all those who have been to a convention before, who was the most interesting con celebrity you met? I'd prefer that they remain in the anime/manga/art/ect catagory so no cosplayers!

The coolest person I ever met was Steve Blum. He's the voice actor for Spike Spiegal on Cowboy Bebop. He did an interview and answered some of my questions. I got him to sign my manga as well. If you get to know him, you'll know he's also really into the other characters he played such as Jamie from Megas XLR, and...well the list goes on. So...Nice guy, awesome voice actor, I had a blast.

My coolest guest so far was Tomokazu Seki.
I meet him twice at the "Meet the Guest Reception" at AX '04 and '05
I also went to his question panel and got his autograph.
He is very sweet, cute, funny guy.
No wonder why he was so many fan girls.

The most interesting con guest I have met was Yoshiyuki Tomino, the creator of Mobile Suit Gundam. I love this show. It is amazing. Since my family loves anime we got a poster signed by him and it now hangs in our livingroom for the house. I absolutly loved meeting him. It was great.

 

Humm... Well I had the opportunity to meet Tara Strong. It was at AOD this year.

Here's my little story....

My youngest of three daughter's loves Tara Strong. She is a voice actor for Baby Dill (Rugrats), Raven (Teen Titans) Riku (FFX and FFX-2) Timmy (Fairly Odd Parents) Bubbles (Power Puff Girls) and others. So for her birthday my oldest daughter drew a picture of the five different characters. We took it to Anime Overdose and at the end of the voice actors pannel Tara signed the picture for my youngest daughter. Now Tara liked some of the other art work that my daughter had drawn. We managed to pull off the birthday surprise for my youngest daughter. To finish the gift We want to get the artists of each character to sign it also.

I just wanted her to have a truely unique gift. I think we did it.
