    Yes, there were animation screw-ups.
    Yes, the two planets visited after earth weren't really necessary.
    Yes, horrendous scale issues were raised, especially with Astrotrain.

    But that doesn't keep it from being one of my favorite movies.

    I am proud to own this film on DVD.:)

    Hot Rod's eyes weren't level with the "lighted" yellow effect! Unicron looked like he was constipated for half the final battle! Ultra Magnus is a dork! Optimus Prime takes direct hits on the grille from EVERY fighter jet decepticon except for StarScream and lives, but dies from a simple hand blast from Megatron! Astrotrain, unimaginable huge or normal sized!? And where was Omega Prime!?

    But...

    Leonard Nimoy is Galvatron!!! Judd Nelson is Hot Rod!!! LOL. There's so much better than worse. Like, the autobots and decepticons actually dieing when they got shot...with the exception of Ultra Magnus, who was put back together. You finally get to see what the HELL the matrix is, and to see it in action within the same movie. You see Optimus die...which is part of the bad part, but it was just...perfect for the movie somehow. And besides, he comes back the season after...TWICE!! And you get the cool Transforming sound in surround sound! You hear Wierd Al Yankovic playing "Dare to be Stupid". The Junkicons make an appearance. There's actual cussing! Yeah, after thousands of years of war, SPIKE is the first to cuss.

    And finally...you hear Grimlock say, "Time to kick butt!" and "Grimlock thinks it time to think of new strategy." Silly Grimlock! :D

    So yeah, excellent. Of course. And I am also a proud owner of this RHINO DVD.

    YOU GOT THE TOUCH!

    One time my friends and I were on our way to a 'con, and had that song CRANKED as we wheeled into a gas station. Drew several stares and woke up a trucker.:D

    the only thing I hated about the movie was the music like Dare To Be Stupid

    You hated the music???

    Jeez! Stan Bush did some great stuff with that soundtrack!

    And Weird Al's "Dare to be Stupid" could have been the 3rd opener, given the way some episodes went.

    Dont get me wrong, I love TF, but the post movie TFs were just sorta... agh. Stupid sometimes.

    Hated the music? Hated the music?! I fought long and hard for a copy of that soundtrack!

    Nothin's Gonna Stand In Our Way. What perfect driving music.

    Got the DVD, now I want the seiyuu version.

    I HAVE WATCHED THIS MOVIE HUNDREDS OF TIMES ON VHS, AND SOON TO GET IT ON DVD.
    NOTHING BEATS THE TRANSFORMERS OF PAST.

    Don't forget Robert Stack (unsolved mysteries guy) as Ultra Magnus and Orson Welles as Unicron! ORSON F***ING WELLES!!!!! My favorite scenes are the Unicron/Galvatron scenes.

    Too bad Orson died halfway through making the movie. :(

    BTW Iz, as for Optimus and damage, don't forgot that Megatron had given him quite a thorough beating prior to that, including stabbing and exposing 'organs'.

    As for being shot on the grille, my friends and I have a joke that its made of highly reflective material, thus halving the damage from lasers (its a Rifts reference).

    Who would have thought Orson Wells last movie would have been "The Transformers"

    I agree, the scenes with Megatron/Galvatron & Unicron were very cool.

    And Prime was able to take a serious beating when he needed too.

    Prime is to one true leader.....

    I played rifts once.. It was Cool until the other guys dicided to play with God like characters and see who could win.. thus we had a long and VERY boring game

    Love the film tbh.
    I like the fact that some of them actually died. A bit of a change.
    Oh and Spike says "****" so that's quite funny.
