    Can the simpsons be considered as an anime ??
    So DBZ has about 500 episodes , how much does the simpsons have ?

    I wouldn't. Anime is pretty much Japanese Animation. yank stuff doesn't quite count. Still a very good show, one of the funniest out there.

    I wouldn't even consider certain Japanese animation shows to be anime... but that's opinion.
