Fruits Basket ....The story continues!

I love Fruits Basket, but the anime cut it too short.
(I hope the manga will continue the story)

What do you think is going to happen?
How do you see the storying ending?

...and can someone please tell me if they plan to made a second
season or an ova? Please...I want Information!

Well the only thing that I can tell you is that came out with a new book. I think that it was number five. It is either that or it is the next book in the series.

 

Well, the manga already HAS continued the story, at least in Japan. I'm not aware of any plans for a second season of the anime, though, and frankly I think that's fine. I think the anime encapsulated what it needed to, and works quite nicely as-is. The worst thing that can happen to a series is for it to be dragged out longer than is necessary, to the point where it gets boring.

Also, if you check around in some of the other threads (particularly the thread about Akito), you'll find spoilers for some of what's happened in the manga thus far.

 

I heard that the anime only goes up to volume 8 in the manga series and that in Japan they are already up to volume 13 or 14. So I am pretty confident in that they do continue the series in the manga at least. Besides their are some other characters that they need to introduce in the story that aren't in the anime (the horse and rooster) and the story can't end where the anime did. It just can't. It's got to continue. As for a continuing anime I doubt that there is going to be one. By the way the anime did end, it seemed that was as far as they were going.

 

I want to start reading where the anime has ended, I have no idea what volume? Anyone knows where is a good point to pick up the story?

 

Don't skip later into the manga (you'll get lose) beacause the anime version change the order of the story and left out parts.
But if you really want to skip (not a good idea) start with volume 6, that the Kyo's " second form" part.
The anime version actually ends at volume 8, but like I said they changed the order.
In other words I hope you'll read all the manga, starting with the first one.
You'll enjoy and understad the story better that way, and the manga flows better then the anime.
