Naruto The Way of the Ninja

    What is the way of the ninja? Naruto keeps telling people he will become a hokage because that is his way of the ninja. What does it take to be a ninja?

    Orochimaru said that to be a ninja one must learn a lot of ninjutsu.
    Lee said that it's his dream to become a ninja by learning taijutsu rather than genjutsu and ninjutsu

    What are you opinions? :)

    Man, you read my mind!! I was thinking of asking this question after watching the 1 hour special (95-96), but looks like I tottaly forgot :p

    The way of the ninja in my openion is the strong will, the will to never give up, because with that will they will never give up in doing something. Like how Naruto never gives up while training to be stronger, or how Lee works hard even though he sucks at ninjutsu and genjutsu. :)

    Really, I think their way of the ninja comprises of their choices and the decisions they make in their life. There is no set way of what moves they can learn or what paths they can follow. I suppose Naruto bases his decisions on not taking his words back, say if he tells Tsunade that he'll learn the Rasengan in three days then he'll learn it in three days!

    my opinion would be similiar to wat zanza said, naruto's way of the ninja is to persist and never give up no matter wat the situation is.
    your question suzu, "wat does it take to be a ninja?"
    well imo, a ninja is a just a skilled warrior in the arts of ninjutsu, taijutsu or genjutsu
    i cant think of it in any other way ^^

    Why become Hokage? a Shinobi? why fight? what is the reason you live on? There must be reasons for every person in this anime. Part of Naruto's way of the Ninja is not to take back the words and promises he says/makes. It became Gai's way of the ninja to train Rock Lee to be the very best. If this way disappears or is not completed, he has no will to live. The way of the ninja becomes part of your life and you would die without this reason to fight and live on. The Way of the Ninja becomes your Life and Will to live.

    this is partly inspired by episode 100.

    a ninja is someone who practices endurance and stealth. nin=endurance ja=a variation on the suffix ka, meaning "one who does" nin also means stealth.

    there are no samurai anymore, because that was a class that was abolished, however, since "ninja" is a description of someone, it is and always will be possible to be a ninja.

    The way of ninja is a variation of the goals and dreams that everybody has. It is renamed the 'Way of Ninja' here to both sound cool and to swerve the concept to more of the ninja side. If you replaced the references to the 'Way of the Ninja' with references to one's goals or dreams, it would not be too different.
