Movies Them Pirates ***spoiler***

Last night I saw the movie Pirates of the Carribean? I was wondering if in fact that Jack and Will were father and son. I wasn't really paying too much attention to the movie. For reason we shall not say... However I kind of thought that they were. I also wanted to know what everyone thought about the movie, too. So here are my questions.

Personally I thought the guy with the eye situation was creepy but still cool.

 

1. it thought the movie was great it had tons and of action and a lot of fuuny bits.

2, my favorite parts were when Depp was on his sinking ship in the begging, also when he came back from being marroned for the second time and all the pirates were confused, my very favorite part was when he fell over the side in the very end.

3. Johnny Depp was the best pirate.

4. i would definetly see it again ( sorry for the bad grammer)

5. they are not related at all they explain that.

6. my favorite character was obviously Johnny Depp.

i agree the guy with one eye was very funny.

1. I enjoyed the movie, though I think it felt a tad too long. When the pirates are fighting in the cave underneath the shafts of moonlight, with their flesh disappearing and reappearing as they fight, was just amazing.

2. My favorite scene was hands down one of the first, where Captain Jack Sparrow steps onto the dock from his sinking boat (yeah, totally agree with Raven on that one).

3. Johnny Depp was awesome. I don't know about looks, but he was just bad@$$ and hilarious at the same time.

4. Actually, probably not. Even though I liked it, I don't care to watch through the whole thing anytime soon.

5. I don't think I have to say anything more in response to this question.

6. My favorite character was definitely Captain Jack Sparrow . . . however, my favorite actor was, more definitely, Keira Knightley (more for her roles in Bend it like Beckham and Star Wars: Episode 1).

I've not seen the film yet, so I don't want spoilers(hence I've avoided reading most of this thread), but is the film a rip off of the Monkey Island games? From the adds it looks remarcably similar. By any chance does it contain the line "How appropriate, you fight like a cow"?

 

I'm a fan of Guybrush Threepwood and his adventures, and I don't really see any huge similarities. Pirates of the Caribbean is overall more serious, and doesn't carry nearly the large scope of humor that the Monkey Island games contained. And no, nobody says, "How appropriate, you fight like a cow."

Oh man...that was such a good movie...i loved the graphics. but i was at the edge of my seat the whole time...it was well done.

When the pirates of the Black Pearl went into the moon light and they changed in the blink of an eye...i thought that was cool...it wasnt a cheepo movie either...which was pretty cool. Most of those kind of movies are

I didn't know she was in Star Wars Epidsode I! Geezz I guess I'll have to watch that again.

I really liked the movie. I thought it was gonna be kind of cheesy but it turrned out to be ok.

The best part was (I thought) when Jack and Orlando met for the first time and they had that whole sword fight scene. And I also liked the begining (Jack's first appearence).

1. I saw the movie right after watching another action movie (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen), and it was great. I didn't think it was too long cuz there was good parts throughout the movie.

2. I can't remember the best part, but I liked pretty much any part with Sparrow acting nuts. The when he steps off his sinking ship was cool too.

3. Johnny Depp was awesome as a pirate. Orlando was a good actor, but "as a pirate" he was too clean-looking and too nice.

4. I'd see it again for free when it comes out on tv.

5. No, I don't think so. Will's dad had a nickname of his own, remember?

6. Captain Jack Sparrow was my favorite character. The way he acts, his nuts way of walking, and his fashion sense is so ghetto-cool.

i've seen it and i like J. DEPP better he was kinda crazy which gave him that edge. i liked the fight seens in the movie. yah i could see it again. i know there not father and son. and my fav. character would have to be CApt. Jack Sparrow!!!!

5. Do you think they're father and son? Where you listening to the plot at all? Turner's dad ended up at the bottom of the seas. And if you were listening, The crew (INCLUDING Turner's father), formed a mutiny AGAINST Capn Sparrow, though he later regretted it (and was drowned).

Alright well, I've seen the movie once again and I take back that little comment. It seems that when you follow the movie more closely you actually see things you missed. I apologize for the rest of you. It also seems I shouldn't be doing something else in the theatres.

ummm mannerisms wise Johnny Depp was incredible! But appearance wise both tied for me. Orlando was a perfect example of the few great looking pirates lol and Johnny was totally locked as a pirate! he was made for the role^_^

I've seen it four times

They are not father adn son...they are friends...

Captain Jack Sparrow, and Will Turner
