    Hubel and Torsten Wiesel (1962, 1968) discovered that mammals have cells in their visual cortex called feature-detector cells which respond to complex features such as spirals, or concentric circles. These cells respond even greater to faces.

    In the past I have looked at things and thought I could see a face staring back at me, even though it was just a normal object (I'm not schizophrenic, I swear). People have found pictures of Jesus' face on toast, in one case Mother Theresa was found on a cinnamon bun. Not to discredit these finds, some look amazing. But this psychological phenomenon is the reason why religious authorities won't consider these to be valid miracles anyways.

    So the point of this thread is to take random pictures with a camera, find a face in it, then post it here.

    I took some pictures of fire and could pick out some things in it. Looks like Calcifer from Howl's Moving Castle ^_^;
