I saw the news on this incident, whole parades were marching to the Danish embassy, burning their national flag, they had signs that they would decapitate/kill and started throwing things at the Embassy. That's just really insane. Because I look at how much the media and some tv shows have insulted Christianity, of course Christians are offended, but they don't march out and scream they will decapitate the networks and newspapers.

Anyways, this is my take on what I saw on the news about the issue. I mean, Denmark even apologized in that news report.. so they do realize they did something wrong, but I think this has gone too far..

The thing you have to remember about extremists and a few of those they choose to represent tend to take EVERYTHING seriously. Frankly, I could care less what a bunch of people on the other side of the world really think about me and my views. They, however, do.

Whether or not the whole muslim nation is up in arms about this really has yet to be seen: Remember, only the people who make all the noise are the ones who are ever seen on TV. 99% of the time they're the vast minority. That's not to say this is or isn't the case this time, but it's something to keep in mind.

So true, my teacher was telling about this new Will & Grace show that coming out with Brittney Spears guest starring. She's playing a host of a cook show and they make this cake that says "Cruxi-fixens." My teacher says that there's a petition going around but that's about it. It really is unfair because if they were making fun of Muslims they would have done something similar to what they did. I doubt NBC is going to apologize if it's Christians.

In my eyes, it's simple overreacting. I mean, I can understand being offended over it. Indeed I can sympathize, I know I'd be pretty upset if someone drew a bunch of cartoons "insulting" something I'm really loyal to (first thing to mind is Canada, for me)

But I think it's really over reacting to demand embargos, blood, and the "death of a nation." I can't imagine why anyone would demand something that extreme for something so piddling and easily ignoreable. It just makes me think these people can't take a joke.

A non-violent petition was good enough to get that show to be re-written.
I understand not all, no matter what religion feel the same way (take things drastically serious) about certain issues pertaining to faith, like this instance with Muslims and the Danes, but it's just, to me, makes that faith not look too good.. seriously no offence to the Muslim members here, I have friends who are Muslim, and they are the most kind and gentle amongst my friends.

I read this article snip from the Voice of the Martyrs Online Newsletter:

More Than 50 Christians Killed over Muslim Cartoons

Muslim rioters are responsible for up to 58 deaths (mostly
Christians) on the streets of Maiduguri, in Nigeria's
northeastern state of Borno, which were triggered by protests over
the Danish cartoons satirizing Islam. It is reported that at least
51 Christians were brutally killed on the February 18 rampage,
while over 150 homes and 32 churches were burned, and 85 shops
were destroyed. Authorities were finally able to control the
volatile scene after arresting 114 and having militia enforce a
    curfew.

The mayhem began when Muslims staged their demonstration against
degrading caricatures of Mohammad that were originally published
in September 2005 by the Danish newspaper _Jyllands Posten_. Even
though the cartoons were by no means a Christian attack on Islam,
Muslims in Nigeria and throughout the world have turned their rage
toward Christians; many of whom have never even heard of the
    controversial sketches.

Muslims are using the cartoons as an excuse to wage their violent
jihad (holy war) against Christians, and have been reported
running through the streets of Maiduguri threatening people with
death and violence if they did not speak their local dialect. Many
of the dozens of victims were publicly tortured to death in the
    city streets.

    *********************************************************

I didn't know it was so intense, I knew they were protesting, and perhaps a few accidentally killed, but holy crap! You reap what you sow and these people are showing a horrible face to one of the world's largest religions.
Muslim leaders must be saying something about this???
