Anime There's this anime...

I was switching through channels yesterday, and I came across an anime (it was in English), but I thought it was pretty neat. I think it's called Yugi-O, but I'm not sure. It's something about fighting with a deck of cards, dueling, i think they said, and there was something with the guy who was dueling (dunno the name!) and his sister.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? If ya do, please tell me more about....it's so interesting! And the sad thing is...i forgot what channel it was on.....

 

Ehehe ^^;; I thought Yugi-OH was a bit weird...

 

It aires on Kids WB. Thats all I know about it because I have avoided it for the reason that its on Kids WB.

 

this anime is prety Lame. All these companies are trying to get on the Pokemon Band Wagon!

tis called yu-gi-oh, and it's fairly cool

i haven't seen much of it yet though cos it's always shown at like half 7 on sat/sun mornings.. which don't exist in my world.

a friend told me the first episode started on 4/1 (and I missed it!)
it's too bad I can't watch any more episodes this whole week, cuz i'll be away at school when it airs.

I agree that if I had known what channel I was watching, which i now know is Kids WB, i might have not bothered to stop and see what it was. Kids WB is...well, i don't know what to say about it...maybe i don't really like it cuz of all the dubbed animes and those HORRIBLE new voices that they give to the characters.

Now that I think about it...Yu-Gi-Oh does kinda seem like Pokemon...

I don't suppose there's any other times that Yu-gi- Oh airs BESIDES 3.30 weekdays and 7.30 on sat/sun?

 

I haven't seen the first series, but the other bad guys are much better. There's Seto Kaiba, who's cool, and there's Pegasus, who's super-evil and super-camp.

howcome Yu-gi-O can change from a "little kid" into another older version of himself??

I only watched one episode...so I'm very very clueless...:dizzy2:

 

I just thought Yugioh, like all other animes, was dubbed horribly x_X Bugs through ur ears... Eee.e... but anyways, I didn't exactly watch it myself, but it seemed like a mixture of CCS and Pokemon, so it didn't attract me at all.

 

he changes cos of the magic of his "Millenium icon" which is what he invokes when he duels

sachiko... hrm,, i would actually love to hear yu-gi-oh in japanese with subs.. it'd be really cool, but I like the dubbing. yu-gi's voice fits him well i think

 

I don't think it's dubbed too badly, Joey's voice is cool.
And the millenium puzzle doesn't make him older, there's some knid of spirit inside it. There's an episode where Bakura duels Yugi where you find out more.

I'm pretty sure it's a different person. When Yugi is dueling Kaiba the second time, on top of Pegasus' castle, Kaiba pt's himself at risk to win the duel(I couldn't be bothered explaining it), and angry-Yugi wants to attack, it'd win him the duel, but it could kill kaiba, whereas round-eye-Yugi doesn't want to, and in doing so lose the match. I wont tell you what happens, in case you want to see for yourself.

 

i didn't see that ep, but I did see the one beofre it.
stupid sky 1 don't show the episodes in sequence.

but if yu-gi lost the match, what happens to his grandfathers spirit..

eeek! Feckin sky one! i wanna see this series so bad!

they ain't the same person.. but they ain't too different either. the spirit takes some of it's personality and self from Yu-gi I think. it has it's own mind, but it *is* yu-gi to an extent

It was shown twice that weekend. On saturday on nick, and on sunday on sky. The end of the episode before it kicked ***, though didn't it?
