Manga those cute school bags in the manga...

    Hey you know those really cute black school bags that Japanese students carry in the mangas? Yeah well I was wondering if there really is such a thing somewhere cuz if there is I wanna buy it!!! You know the school bags that can be found in DN Angel, Sailor Moon, at the end of CCs, ummm...fruits basket, umm....hana kimi....and more but can't think of them all...there are just too darn many. Anyway, so have any of you seen it anywhere?

    Well, I can't say that I've seen them anywhere outside of manga/anime. However, they seem to be standard issue for many Japanese schools, if only because they show up so often in manga and anime. If you look at American stuff (and Canadian stuff too), the kids are more likely to be carrying backpacks.

    at the moment my computer is being a butt and won't let me see the picures but from the discription it looks exactly as i thought! but it's so stinkin expensive!@!! Is it really that much in Japan also? eeekss!! i wonder if it's cheaper somewhere else. is it expensive cuz it's leather?? arrggghhh!!! stupid computer lemme see them!!! arrgggghhh!! :anger2: but thank you every much!! :anime:

    Depending on the make of the kaban (which is the bags you are referring to) the price differs. It seems as if the leather is both quality and hardbound. There are some "anime" kaban too, if you look at animenation. Like, 40 bucks.

    But, I guess if you're going for the full look, that one would be ideal. Dunno why though. I didn't see too many kaban while I was there. More backpacks. They're just easier to carry. =P

    When i went to farnce there were millions of those all over, but alot of them were nylon as well, which are alot cheaper. but along with all bags you can pay alot or you can go the cheap way.

    yeah backpacks are easier to carry but it's too common here so it's nothin new. I've just always admired those bags....they are tres chic! nah they are just way kool!! :anime: okay i'm gonna check animenation thankies
