    Hey all

I just finished the script for a short film I'm working on for my Basics of Film and Production class (yes, I do have a fake major but film is awsome :p ). Please read and tell me what you think.

    Thanks all

Hate to say it but I saw the "shock" coming a mile away. It's fine though.

Good thats kind of what I was hoping for.

I wanted the audience to be irritated with Alex just like Joe was.

That was really sad :( I did not expect her to have killed herself. I should have seen it coming though. I really did like the story. I think people should learn that you may think you have all the time in the world to be with someone but the truth is you don't have as much time as you may think you do. Welp now I'm sad so I am going to go upstairs and listen to Rod Stewart ;) Great work by the way, I enjoyed it a lot!

That's a really good script for a short film. It gives a sense of the characters, provides a short bit of dialogue, and describes a lot without even changing the scene. I like it. :)

Thanks a lot thats great to hear. Thats exactly what I was going for, short but still with a sense of the characters and the one scene will make shooting easier though night shots are a *****.

What about shooting during the day and digitally darkening it to look like night while editing?

The problem with that is if you artificially darken the scene its really really noticable. The lighting looks muted instead of harsh like night lighting is. Daytime shots have a general warmth to them, i.e. the contrasts of light are not incredibly great shadows durring the day are less pointed then at night.

Though it is harder to pull of its totally worth the effort.
