Art Tips on Western Characters

    If you're going for rough and tumble, lots of sharp lines will help your character. Making the stubble look a bit like dirt helps too.

    And remember, guns are usually slung low on the hips, right at the palms of the hands. If it's all high on the belt-line...they get shot and killed much easier. ^_^

    If I remember correctly, the characters Caine The Longshot and Dominique The Cyclops from Trigun were dressed to a very traditional Wild West style (minus Caine's mask, of course)...

    So to get a feel for a sort of anime-style of Wild West type characters you could try taking details from them. Just a friendly suggestion, of course.
