Eirtaku Toinghts anime on Sci-Fi is Macross 2

Is it any good? I wanna know if its worth taping(I cant stay up for it. School >_<). And was Macross 1 on last week cos I forgot about it(Double >_<)

 

dude there is a reason tapes can be taped over again and again.. and again..

It's parts 4-6 of Macross 2 tonight.
To be blunt, M2 is a pile of crap, the only member of the original team involved was Mikimoto, the chara designer.

The story's rubbish, like a badly done rerun of SDF Macross.
The only real strengths it has are the quite different, but very cool Valk designs in it and some of the catchy Jpop songs.

If you want Macross, Macross Plus is the greatest thing out there.
Nevermind that Robotech bullshit either.

And shut up about not liking dubs exiztone, we all already know you're too hardcore for 'em

and in the japanese dub goku is done by a woman.. that's just wrong

 

Yeah the Jap version of Kenshin was done by a woman, that just plain suks.
You could kinda forgive the Jap Goku, he is from another planet after all.

 

Well about the whole Dub/sub thing.

Hating a dub just because it's a dub is stupid.

If your gonna hate a dub, hate it cos it's a bad dub.

I got nothing against good dubs.

Okay if I had a choice I would watch the sub.
But some people don't like subtitles.
Whatever floats your boat.

 

Look why don't you just admit it. You think female Japanese voices are really cute.

I've got an idea, let's go completely off topic again...

I too have a strong dislike of hard yankee accents in dubs, it's one of the main reasons I hate the SMJ dubs so much, and man do I hate them a lot. Some dubs are watchable though, the new Akira dub isn't so bad either is the Metropolis dub. I'd still choose the subbed version over them though. Also, many have said that the Cowboy Beebop dub is actualy better than the dub, although I've yet to find that out for myself. But the vast majority of the time it's true I do prefer subs. I always feel like I'm cheating by watching dubs.
