  1. Many years ago the Irish flautist James Galway presented a BBC TV series
about his tour of Japan. The series was broadcast in the early 80's in the
    UK, if I recall correctly.

In one program Galway performs a duet with Tomita in Tomita's recording
studio. Together thay played Empress of the Pagodas from Daphnis and Chloe.
Ben's site includes the following photograph of the two men together:

Is there a recording anywhere, whether audio or video, of the duet?

I remember watching the program way back then, unfortunately before VCR's
were commonplace. I recall being mildly interested in the program, as James
Galway is a local lad born in East Belfast, but then being totally bowled
over when Tomita appeared and they played together delightfully ... not that
Tomita was actually playing many instuments "live".

    Cheers
