    So then, in your own opinion, what is the absolute best-of-the-best ongoing anime series? Not OVA, not feature, but ongoing? And why??

    I didn't figure Love Hina was any good, since it was plastered all over the net like a cheap fan flick...but it's worth watching, ya say?

    Baka-Matt-Su, who also wonders if Love Hina is supposed to literally mean "Love Bird"...

    worth it? yes indeed. Funny, and good at parodying stuff. Just ask UrashimaKeitaro, he stole his nic from it.
    Dunno about any literal translations, but Hinatasou is the inn kinda place where they all stay.

    Well , i thought vandread was hilarious and its going into a second season sometime soonish , i couldn't get into love hina, i just kept getting images or small japanese girls watching it and ppl laughing at me [​IMG]
    All kidding aside , i didn't like it. But vandread was funny.

    The Love Hina parodies... quite possibly the best reason to watch it.
    Actually MamiyaOtaru, Love Hina is still going... just suspended until they release episodes 25 and 26 in April, and *then*, at least from what I heard, is when it ends.

    naw.. I still like it :) And with the style drifting closer to that of the manga, it is getting better.

    Other than it.. I really couldn't say. Series I know are currently ongoing that I am seeing.. well, Onegai Teacher, I My Me, Strawberry Eggs, Earth Girl Arjuna.. hard to pick a 'best' out of them. It's just hard to judge a series you haven't seen more than 6 eps if (or two, with a couple of them)

    Arjuna's Music is great. Animation is not bad either. Strawberry Eggs is more genderbending fun.. been licensed already. Onegai Teacher seems pretty OK (and the female lead was in SMJ [among other things :D ] )

    Ask UK for his feedback on these, he's watching them as well.
