    An Air France plane which was using the new European Airbus has crashed on Toronto's airway after skidding off the runway upon landing in bad weather. The whole plane was engulfed in flames but it seems a number of passengers survived the crash although exact casulty figures is still unknown.

    I know a number of our forum members are from Canada so maybe you have better information on this.

    Regards

    Luckily, there have been no casualties - 14 injured passengers.

    It happened because of weather conditions.

    Full story here.

    Yeah, it seems rather scary that a plane can skid in rainy conditions. It's rare that that would happen though, it'll be interesting to hear reports from the investigation. I heard on CNN also that they got out of the plane within 2 minutes as well, that's amazing.

    Pretty amazing that they all got out, I do have to give credits for the pilot though. He managed to crash land safetly.

    I was flying through Pearson the day before - was weird to watch it on CNN as it was happening knowing I'd just been there, but thankfully there was a happy ending.

    I wouldn't like to have been a family member though of one of those on board, watching on TV...

    I remember seeing the emergency news thing come on during a show i was watching on CBC when it happened. I was freaked out, because I had to go on a plane myself in only a short number of days. ._.

    But it's amazing that there were no casulities. That's execellant.

    What i don't like is people calling this the "Miracle Flight". It wasn't a miracle.
    The fact that the plane stopped before reaching the highway was a miracle.
    However, how everyone got out of there so fast, and how no one died...that wasn't a miracle. that was thanks to the skills of the crew onboard. Why can't people give them a lot more credit instead of calling it a 'miracle'? -_-;

    Yes thankfully there was no casualties. A fire like that.

    Maybe because of the fire FR. I think most people like to believe in mircales like they like to believe in god.
